What gauge wire is recommended for grounding? Also,...Solid or strand?

A
The Channel Master grounding block provides lightning protection for 75-ohm coaxial cable installations. It has 2 female "F" connectors and a ground wire clamp; so any coaxial cable that can be terminated with an "F" type connection would work. I hope that helps.
