Channel Master's 3410 is a compact, versatile RF signal amplifier designed for indoor use with coaxial cables. The 3410 can improve reception whether the problem is weak signal strength at your antenna, or loss of signal quality due to a long cable run. Unlike the inexpensive boosters you find in hardware stores, the 3410 is a "bi-directional" design that provides a return signal path for use with a cable box or cable modem (return signal is not amplified). The included AC power supply connects to the 3410 via a short length of coax cable, which is also included.

Product Highlights:

  • compatible with antenna and cable TV signals
  • cable company approved for digital cable, HDTV, and high-speed Internet
  • bi-directional for digital services
  • amplifier gain: 15 dB
  • operating frequency range: 54-1002 MHz
  • return path frequency range: 5-42 MHz (for cable modem applications)
  • 75-ohm impedance
  • noise: 2.7 dB
  • three F-type coaxial connectors (1 input, 1 output, 1 power)
  • included AC power supply provides power to amplifier via coaxial cable connection (cable included)
  • 6000-volt surge protection
  • weather-sealed housing resists corrosion
  • 3-7/16"W x 1-1/8"H x 3-5/16"D
  • warranty: 1 year

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I think this product does what it says, but it's tough to gauge how much better it will make or not make your picture. Overall, I think it does help with internet speed.

Channel Master 3410

Prior to purchasing the product, watching local stations was painful, constant signal issues. Now we very rarely have interruptions. We are extremely happy with the product. Thank you!

Has my benefit of doubt

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed this product in my basement in line with a 60-foot--at least--RF cable running from my rooftop antenna to my Channel Master digital tuner, which in turn runs to my Onyx surround sound receiver, then to a projector. The result: significant improvement of signal, still with infrequent dropouts of video and audio on the one strongest of 8 broadcast channels. To be fair, the cable might be too long and require a stronger amplifier, or my DIY connection may be faulty. So although my ultimate outcome was barely tolerable, I observed great impact on the image and sound.

Pros: Inexpensive; effective, easy to install

3410 Analog TV Amplifier

Written By Peter, St. Petersburg, Florida on Tuesday, August 30, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

That 3410 Video Amplifier that you sold me is a winner, and I am very pleased with it. I have cable TV, and for whatever reaason, the signals on Channels 3 through 6 have always been weak, giving messy pictures. But that 15 Db amplifier has solved everything, and all channels are perfect. The amplifier is so neat and unobtrusive too. Nice going, Crutchfield!

Didn't help my problem

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this because there was one network channel that had a weak signal, while all of the others from the same tower were strong. The amplifier ended up with weaker signals on some other channels, but the missing channel was still weak.

Let's be fair

Hardly seems fair to give this item a low rating just because it didn't do
something it isn't designed to do in the first place. No, it won't work with Direct
TV or Dish Network or any other satellite system, there are other products that
are designed for those. As is clearly stated in the literature and on the box, this
item is for boosting weak signals coming from a traditional VHF-UHF antenna,
and to help compensate for signal loss from long runs of coax cable, use of
signal splitters, etc. I've tried several other similar products in the past and
none of them helped boost my digital over-the-air signals, some even made
things worse. This one really did help. It's not going to work miracles but if the
signal level is borderline to begin with, this little amp might make the difference.
It's reasonably priced and easy to hook up, but you will need two extra lengths
of coax cable (with F connecotors on each end) and only one is included in the

DTV conversion w/ Attic antenna problem solved

Written By Loren, Portland, OR on Thursday, July 02, 2009

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have an antenna installed in our attic and in preparing for the digital conversion used to aim our antenna at our local towers. This worked fine UNTIL we had the real switch over, at which point 3 of the primary stations we liked switched to different frequencies that did not have as much gain on my antenna and we lost them all together. I bought this and installed it near the TV (about 25' from the antenna) as I don't have access to power in the attic. Did a scan and have all of these stations back and more.

I went with the Crutchfield amplifier due to past positive experiences with Crutchfield products and there excellent return police if it didn't work. Thanks for a great product that solved a major problem so elegantly.

Antenna Signal Amplifier A+

Written By david, Cedarville, NJ on Tuesday, February 24, 2009

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Being 49 miles from most TV broadcasting stations and having a older TV, I need to do something. After reading, Choosing and Installing an Antenna for HDTV by Steve Kindig - Feb 19, 2008. I learned that I could use my old uhf-vhf antenna. I had bought my converter box for the DTV transition, but was only getting 2 or 3 digital stations at best. The antenna signal strength was on the weak side, 28 seemed to be the strongest. I had a long cable run from my antenna to the TV which did not help my signal. I decided to buy the Channel Master 3410. A Single-output RF distribution amplifier. After hooking it up half-way in by cable run, I re-scanned the channels for the converter box. WOW what a difference. I now receive a total of 27 digital stations, with most signal strengths above 60 and some as high as 85. My old analog channels also come in much clear.
Thanks Crutchfield for all your help.
It was very easy to install this product!
