Features
Overview: The Channel Master Model CM-3671 is a large outdoor TV antenna that will receive both digital TV and HDTV programming. It offers superior signal strength, and is recommended for antenna reception markets where TV signals are weak to strong. In weak reception areas, you should use an antenna booster in conjunction with the antenna.
Reception Range: This HD antenna receives the UHF, VHF and FM bands (channels 2 through 69) with a reception range of approximately 100 miles.
Construction: The CM-3671 has 61 elements, arranged in a double boom design. The antenna comes in three pieces, plus hardware, requiring extensive assembly. A majority of the elements must be unfolded when mounted.
Mounting: The antenna comes with two U-bolt mounting assemblies for secure mounting to an antenna mast. It can be mounted on a roof, wall, chimney, in an attic, or on a tripod. The manufacturer's suggested height is 5-10 feet above the roof line.
Turning Radius: The Model 3671 has a 95-3/4" turning radius. If using an antenna rotor, you must make sure there are no obstructions around the antenna mast that would interfere with the antenna's rotation.
Connections: The included 75-ohm matching transformer will need to be connected to the antenna tap-off points using the included wing nuts. The other end of the transformer has a female F-type connector. The included waterproof rubber weather boot should be installed over the cable connection to guard against corrosion.
Note: Coax cable is not provided; RG-6 is recommended.
Grounding: The antenna and mast should be properly grounded. Grounding provides lightning protection for the antenna and your TV set. A #8 or larger aluminum or copper wire connected between the antenna and grounding rod should be used. In addition, the Channel Master Grounding Block (item 6593274) is recommended for grounding the coaxial transmission lines.
