Channel Master CM 3000A

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The antenna was very easy to install. I used an existing mount for what used to be my satellite dish. It pulls in all stations for my location and the picture quality is, as expected, perfect. The "boot" that goes over the cable to antenna connection point, is a bit hard to install, but should be a good watertight fit.

Pros: Easy to install and works great.

Cons: Non really.

Excellent reception at 25 - 30 miles

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was a little concerned the CM 300A antenna would pull in the stations from the Tampa Area. I am very pleased with the reception I get at 25 - 30 miles away. One station I wanted is 271 deg (W) and several others are at 179 deg (S) of my location. I get all of the stations I wanted and then some. Shipping was very fast, assembly and mounting was easy. In my humble opinion, a very good buy!

I had been using an old antenna for HDTV but the signal would come and go
constantly. I ordered the Channel master CM3000A and it works perfectly. I
have not had any drops in the HDTV signal.

Channel Master CM3000A

I never write reviews but was so disappointed in this product I decided that I should. I do not
have cable or satellite TV (can't afford it) and have been using rabbit ears with acceptable
results on most days. I mounted this antenna in my attic, ran the recommended RG6 cable,
turned on the TV and ran the auto-scan feature on the TV. Same amount of stations, worse
picture quality. I tried re-directing the omindirectional antenna dish and no change. Three
days later, after deciding that I should return the antenna, I tried re-directing the dish, one
last time. What a DIFFERENCE! I can't believe an omnidirectional antenna can be so
sensitive to the direction its "pointed" in. Anyway, the antenna works great, just as I had
hoped for and much better than the rabbit ears I was using.

CM3000A "omnidirectional" HDTV antenna

Written by: Mr. A from San Diego, CA on September 13, 2010

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was not impressed by this product. Although, I was attracted to the sleek, UFO type design and internal amplifier, the product fell short in descriminating usable signal strengths, but worse than that, I was only able to receive Mexican HDTV signals. The US border is approx. 35 miles from my home. I mast mounted the antenna 12 feet above my 15 roof and I was only able to receive one San Diego station (35) from the University of California San Diego (UCSD). The FCC does not restrict signal strenth transmision from Mexico, nor can it. The signals are VERY strong. The US transmitters ontop of a local Soledad mountain-7 miles from my home were not receivable from this antenna. I had to reutrn it.
