Go ahead and get the 6' version. I purchased two 3' and it BAAAARRREEELY fit from the TV to anything else. Luckily, I had two 6' ones lying around that can fill in the roles. Was this review helpful? I went ahead and bought it and is a very good cable. I would recommend this cable. Was this review helpful? Yes | No 3 out of 5 2 of 3 Worked Fine, One Did Not Written By John, Westchester County, New York on Friday, August 13, 2010 Bought 3 of these cables to go with a new home theater setup including a 50" Samsung Plasma TV, an Onkyo Home Theater Receiver, Samsung Blu-ray player, and a nice speaker setup. When watching Blu-ray discs or DVDs, the screen and sound kept going blank about every 10 minutes for about 1-2 seconds at a time. And this was after sending back what seemed like a defective receiver that seemed to be the cause of the very same problem. Finally changed the HDMI cable with a new one, problem solved. Have not had any further blank outs/black outs of screen or sound for the past 4 days, with lots of Blu-ray and DVD watching. When researching the issue online, I read an article by a guy who worked at an HDMI cable manufacturer who said that about 10% of all their HDMI cables are defective. HDMI is apparently very particular. Does not take much to make one not work. I still think one does not need to spend a fortune on HDMI cables. Probably anything under $30, so long as it is the right specs, is ok. Maybe the likelihood of issues goes up as the price goes down, not sure. But my computer engineer son tells me that the high price cables are totally overkill, and really do nothing more than the cheaper ones can do, assuming they are all up to minimum spec for one's system. This, he says, is the difference between digital and analog. With analog, the higher quality wire does make a big difference. 3 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
