Soundbar Speaker: The LG NB3730A soundbar speaker features a two-way speaker system with two 1" dome tweeters and two pair of 2" cone woofers, powered by an 80-watt x 2-channel amplifier. The soundbar speaker delivers clear midrange and treble with little distortion. The sound bar does not feature a grille. All drivers are exposed.

Wireless Powered Sub: The wireless powered sub houses a 5" side-firing woofer inside a bass-reflex cabinet with a front-firing port. The 5" woofer is powered by a built-in 140-watt amplifier for deep, punchy bass. Since the powered sub is wireless, there are no cable connections and the sub can be placed anywhere in your listening room.

HDMI (v1.4) Output: The LG NB3730A soundbar speaker system is fitted with a single HDMI output to connect to your TV's HDMI input for audio/video transfer. The HDMI (v1.4) output supports Dolby Digital/DTS/PCM audio signals and 480p/720p/1080i/1080p video signals.

• ARC (Audio Return Channel): The system's HDMI output supports Audio Return Channel (ARC), which sends the TV sound back to the soundbar. Your TV's HDMI input must also support ARC.
• 3D Pass-Through: The HDMI output also supports 3D pass-through of online 3D content from LG Smart Apps (Internet connection required).

Optical Digital Input: If your TV does not support the HDMI ARC function, the LG NB3730A soundbar speaker system also offers an optical (toslink) digital audio input that supports PCM, Dolby Digital, DTS audio formats.

TV Aspect Ratio: The HDMI output's TV aspect ratio can be set to 4:3 Letter Box, 4:3 Pan Scan, 16:9 Original, or 16:9 Full.

DRC (Dynamic Range Control): The LG NB3730A provides dynamic range compression for Dolby Digital content to make the sound clearer when the volume is at a low level. The DRC feature can be set to Auto, On, or Off.

A/V Sync (Audio Delay): When receiving audio signal from your TV, sound and images may not be matched. In this case, the AV Sync function lets you adjust the audio delay time between 0 and 300m/sec.

Sound Effects: You can select a Sound Effect mode that best suits the content you are playing.

• Natural: Enjoy comfortable and natural sound.
• Bypass: Multichannel audio signals are played according to the way they were recorded, bypassing additional processing.
• Bass Blast: Reinforces the bass sound effect from the front left and right speaker, as well as subwoofer.
• User EQ: You can adjust the sound by raising or lowering the levels of the unit's 4-band EQ (60Hz, 300Hz, 2kHz, 10kHz).
• 3D Sound: 3D sound delivers sound creating a wider soundstage, so you can enjoy more immersive and cinematic surround sound.

Network, Bluetooth, & USB Integration

Wired or Wireless Network Connection: The LG NB3730A soundbar speaker system can be connected to your home network via its Ethernet (LAN) port or built-in WiFi. The network connection offers access to your PC movie/photo/music files & online LG Premium Apps. A 10 Base-T or 100 Base-TX LAN port is required for a hardwired Ethernet connection (use a standard LAN cable with this TV; Cat5 or better with a RJ45 connector). A wireless connection requires a home network with an 802.11 b/g/n access point (802.11n recommended) and internet connection; supports WPS, WEP, and WPA security.

LG Smart Apps: LG Smart TV Apps allows you to access a variety of online services and content directly through the LG NB3730A, via its network connection. LG Smart Apps is an easy way to access limitless content, thousands of movies, customizable apps, videos, and browse the web; all organized in a simple to use interface. LG Smart Apps offers pay and free-of-charge instant streaming of movies, weather, videos, and photo album services.

• Premium Apps: Get access to premium Movie, Music, and Photo content from the following pre-installed apps - Netflix, Vudu, Hulu Plus, Cinema Now, Crackle, Viewster, YouTube, Daily Motion, AUPEO!, Pandora, vTuner, Rhapsody, and Picasa. Plus, get access to pre-installed Sports, News, and Weather apps like - MLB.TV, Google Maps, AccuWeather.com, and Associate Press (AP). In addition, you can communicate via social network services, such as Facebook and Twitter.
• Smart World Apps: LG Smart World is an online store for the LG Smart TV where you can download additional free and fee-based apps of diverse contents including education, entertainment, lifestyle, games and news.
• My Apps: You can save your favorite Premium pre-installed apps and other Smart World Apps in "My Apps" for quicker access.

DLNA Certified: This soundbar speaker system is a DLNA Certified digital media product that can play movie, photo, and music content from your DLNA Certified network device and DLNA server (such as your Windows 7 or 8 PC). The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) is a cross-industry organization of consumer electronics, computing industry and mobile device companies. Digital Living provides consumers with easy sharing of digital media through a wired or wireless network in the home. If you don't already have DLNA software on your  computer or server, simply download the Nero MediaHome 4 software from the included CD-ROM onto your Windows or Mac computer.

WiFi Direct: When using WiFi Direct, you can connect directly with other devices without using a wireless router. You'll be able to wirelessly transfer personal content (such as music, movies, & photos) to the LG NB3730A without connecting to your home network. WiFi Direct completely bypasses your WiFi access point/router, so it's easy to set up. Streaming of copy-protected content and other certain formats are not supported.

Gracenote Media Database: This unit can access the Gracenote Media Database through its network connection and load the music information so that Song title, Artist name, Genre, and other text information can be displayed on-screen.

Bluetooth Audio Streaming: Built-in Bluetooth technology lets you wirelessly stream audio from your Bluetooth enabled smartphone, tablet, digital audio player, or other BT device to the LG NB3730A. The LG NB3730A soundbar speaker system is Bluetooth A2DP (advanced Audio Distribution Profile) compliant; meaning it allows you to stream music from your Bluetooth enabled device, but not control it (no metadata transfer either). You will still control playback of your music and view song/artist information from your Bluetooth audio device. Your Bluetooth enabled device must be paired with the NB3730A before operation. Only one device can be paired with this system (it does not support multi-pairing).

Front-Panel USB Port: The Soundbar speaker system features a front-panel USB (type-A) port for playback of video, still image, and music files stored on a connected USB memory device. The player can support USB external hard disc drives (up to 2TB) and USB mass storage class devices (up to 32GB). The USB storage device must be formatted as FAT 32 or NTFS file system.

Convenience Features

Remote Control: The LG NB3730A includes an IR remote control for wireless operation of the soundbar system. The remote is pre-programmed to control basic functions (Power On/Off, Volume Up/Down, AV Input,  & Channel Up/Down) of select LG flat-panel TVS, and can be programmed to control other manufacture televisions ( Zenith, GoldStar, Samsung, Sony, Hitachi).

SIMPLINK: Some functions of this system can be controlled by your LG TV's remote control when this unit and your LG SIMPLINK compatible TV are connected through a HDMI connection. The NB3730A system can also be set to automatically power On/Off with your LG SIMPLINK compatible TV.

On-Screen Display: The LG NB3730A soundbar speaker system features an on-screen display through its HDMI output. You'll be able to display and adjust various audio/video settings, as well as select from a wide variety of online content.

Auto Power Off: The unit automatically turns off if it does not sense and audio signal and control command for approximately 20 minutes.

Mounting Options: The LG NB3730A's soundbar speaker can be either be table-top or wall mounted. The LG soundbar speaker can simply be placed on a table, shelf, or stand thanks to its integrated rubber feet. The supplied wall-mount bracket gives you the option of mounting the speaker on your wall (mounting screws not supplied). The soundbar speaker can be centered above or below your TV.

Software Update: You can update the LG NB3730A with the latest software to enhance the product operation and/or add new features via its network connection. The tested NB3730A contained software version BD1.682.30112.C (as of 5/15/2013). Visit LG's Support Site for the latest firmware/software updates.
