Mitsubishi's Smooth120Hz anti-blur technology doubles the traditional LCD display rate for clearer, more natural motion. To maintain the smooth, cinematic look of film-based content, Film Motion "anti-judder" processing eliminates the stuttery motion often seen during slow camera pans.
Color without compromise
Over the years, Mitsubishi's TVs have earned a reputation among videophiles for rich, vivid, accurate color. The LT-40148's Full Spectrum Color™ system includes wide-range backlight technology for a 25% gain in color range compared to standard LCDs. Mitsubishi's 6-Color Processor takes the original video signal, which is based on three primary colors (red, green, and blue), and analyzes it and extracts the three secondary colors (cyan, yellow, magenta). Individually processing all six colors yields greater accuracy.
Plenty of HD viewing options
The LT-40148 has built-in tuners for receiving your local digital and analog over-the-air broadcasts (antenna required). Plus, a "QAM" cable TV tuner lets cable subscribers watch unscrambled channels without a set-top box. Connecting to both an antenna and cable is easy because this is one of the very few 2008 TVs with two "RF" inputs.
The HD-oriented "jack pack" provides four 1080p-compatible HDMI inputs for connecting the latest Blu-ray players, HD DVRs, and video game consoles. For added versatility, there's a more easily accessible side component video input for hooking up an HD camcorder, plus a USB port for viewing your digital photos.
