BOSS CXX12 subwoofer

The CXX12's injection-molded polypropylene cone delivers the thump.

CXXM1250 amplifier

The fun starts with BOSS's CXXM1250, a mono amplifier dedicated to getting the most from your sub, delivering 500 watts RMS at 4 ohms. This Class A/B amplifier also features preamp and speaker-level inputs, a low-pass filter, a bass boost control, and a wired remote level knob to give you total control over the Chaos.

CXX12 subwoofer

The amplifier is a perfect match for the CXX12 12" subwoofer, which handles up to 500 watts RMS. The speaker's ribbed injection-molded polypropylene cone helps to control vibration, giving you more bass and less breakup. Put it in an appropriate enclosure and let the fun begin! And you'll have plenty left over for fun after paying for this BOSS bass bundle.

Q

Worth if for the money. I've had mine for 3 months so far, play it for at least an hour a day on full power and have had no problems!

It has been worth it to me, I don't know how long it will last, i think it depends on air circulation, how high of volume is used - I only use it to supplement my current car stereo. It works great for me!

Its really good for the price and I've had it for 4 months so far with no signs of it giving out yet. hope this helps
victor  Jun 24, 2015
A
Definitely worth the money. I've been running mine hard for a few months now
dustin  Jun 24, 2015

so far I would say it is completely worth it. I have had no trouble with either the sub or the amp. it provides plenty of bass and it is gives a clear sound. as far as how long will it last...I think that is more about how hard you use it. I have bought other Boss stereo equipment in the past for other vehicles and I have never had any issues with lack of function. I do not think that it would be a bad purchase for anyone. Hope this helps!

I believe it is worth the money, for 100 bucks, you can't beat it if you are ballin' on a budget. Can't say how long it will last tho, had mine for 3 months with no problems *knocks on wood* but keep in mind "you get what you pay for" applies here. Happy pounding! (Bass wise)

DDefinitely worth the money. In a word ... it thumps. Installation instructions are sketchy but info can be found online to set up optimally. Can't say how long it lasts. At least a month with my 21 year old college boy blasting it. For $100 well worth it and the reviews suggest it will be reliable.

The bundle should come with a manual including recommended specs for a DIY box.

I would also look into buying a new stereo along with the bundle. I bought all of it together and it makes my car sound amazing now. But the sub does help add some good bass.

Just had this combo set up today in my 93 cadillac sixty special. Mounted the woofer in a seal box firing towards the rear and it BOOMS! The amp remotes awesome for fine tuning how much bass you want. Worth the money for me.

i installed in a sub box he bought at local retailer and it sounds good he loves it so all good.

Any standard 12 subwoofer box will be fine. If it's in a trunk, I recommend a ported box. If it's going in a truck cab or hatchback u should use a sealed box. The brand is not important.
shannon  Mar 02, 2015

I built my own box to fit the specs of the speaker

depenes on your car or truck, the system sound great in my F150 truck

I just have your standard box not ported with the boss sub and amp and another 12 inch sub running off the one monoblock amp and it goes crazy hard so I would just use a standard box
dylan  Mar 02, 2015
A
plus its a non ported box..
danny  Mar 02, 2015

I have a truck so I used a truck box that fits behind the seat . its a box I already had so not sure of the dimensions, unless I measure it .. hope this helps ..
danny  Mar 02, 2015
A
I prefer a custom sealed enclosure fot tighter bass. U can use a sealed box for a louder result but it will not be as clear. The manuel with the sub gives proper speaker box volumes.
john  Mar 02, 2015
A
I installed it in the sound ordnance single 12inch ported box. It has excellent bass response.
