When we first heard this system, we were amazed at how thoroughly these little speakers filled a large room with robust home theater sound! It was the kind of experience you expect from larger tower speakers, not a compact sub/sat system. So how did Polk do it?
To start with, the satellites and the center channel boast Polk Power Port technology, for deeper mids and bass, and superior blending with the powered subwoofer. Each satellite has a 3/4" silk dome tweeter and a 3-1/4" midrange; the center channel speaker has two midranges. Mineral-filled polypropylene cabinets reduce resonance, for better sonic accuracy. All five speakers are video-shielded, voice-matched, and ready to deliver seamless surround sound. And you're covered when it comes to the details: the satellites and center speaker have 5-way binding posts (and they're easily wall-mountable, thanks to keyhole slots and threaded inserts).
The satellites and center are teamed with Polk's PSW303 powered sub. Its built-in 100-watt RMS amp drives an 8" front-firing Dynamic Balance long-excursion woofer it's hard to believe a driver this size is capable of such rich, powerful bass. Put it all together, and you'll get thrills from movies and music that you've never had before!
