Why would I need an iPod® adapter?
An iPod adapter allows you to connect your iPod to your car stereo, then access your playlists with your stereo's controls - a great idea for several reasons. One, you can scroll through your song titles on your stereo's larger display, instead of squinting down at your iPod. Two, you can route the adapter cable to your glove compartment or center console, so your iPod stays safely out of sight. Three, the iPod adapter keeps your iPod fully charged, so it's ready to rock when you leave your car. And last of all, some adapters bypass your iPod's internal digital-to-analog converter, using your stereo's superior DAC to turn your files back into music.

Yes, but the whole Appradio experience has really gone down. Almost all the apps don't work. It even says on their website not to download ios 8. If it was up to to do agian I would of saved my money and bought a different head unit. [ MARK Nov 18, 2014 ]

I haven't tried with the iPhone 6 or the new iOS. I actually sold the vehicle I put it in and bought a new Silverado. [ TRAVIS Nov 18, 2014 ]

yes you can still stream music through Bluetooth. [ RAJENDRA Dec 05, 2013 ]
yes it will i have both and i mostly stream pandora through bluetooth [ SEAN MC Dec 05, 2013 ]
I have the iphone 5s and my wife has the iphone 4 and we stream music through Bluetooth without a problem and we aren't using the cable. The cable is only used if you want to stream music via cable or if you want to utilize app mode. Bluetooth has nothing to do with the cable it is a separate function used for streaming music. [ Matt2013 Dec 05, 2013 ]
yes , you will be able to bluetooth music to your radio [ CLARK R Dec 05, 2013 ]
Absolutely! The connection just gives you touchscreen control of your phone. I usually just use the Bluetooth connection as it is automatically c [ NATHAN R Dec 05, 2013 ]
Yes, it will stream music via Bluetooth. [ BRIAN Dec 05, 2013 ]
Yes this connector is for vidio [ HENRY Dec 05, 2013 ]
Yes it will. It will stream music and give full phone function without the cable. Really the only thing the cable adds is the ability to watch video, but even that is limited. I can't watch any of the iTunes movies because they are protected. I can watch most of my music videos, tv shows, and videos I have made. To be honest the app mode has added very little and I could have been happy without it, but I always need the latest gadget! [ SCOTT O Dec 05, 2013 ]
Yes it will. [ JENNA Dec 05, 2013 ]
Yes, you basically need the cable for the Appradio feature of the head unit. This been my experience with the AVH-X4500bt. [ MARK Dec 05, 2013 ]
It will. The cable has nothing to do with the Bluetooth the radio has. The cable lets you view different apps on your radio and charge your phone. [ TRAVIS Dec 05, 2013 ]
