I think Audioquest has some of the best audio/video cables out there and even when I'm not a real audiophile, I can tell the difference in sound coming from cheap, stock cables and good cables and interconnects from good brands. The good thing is that Audioquest has products suitable for people that can't afford a 1k interconnect. I used this product to bi-wire some speakers and even when it 's optimized for an in-wall application, I used it as regular speaker cable, just adding banana connectors in one end and the bare cable on the speaker side. The sound was great and is a very good quality wire. I went with the 14 AWG wire over the 16 AWG for obvious reasons and it's very easy to work and terminate the wire. One thing that surprised me is how the guys at Crutchfield protected the cable when they shipped it to me, there was like 5 levels of protection, it took me like 3 minutes to see what I had just bought. Price was great, I really needed the cable and I went with the ad to BBuy and they didn't match the price of the same product, so I had to order from Crutchfield on line, I had to wait a few more days but it's worth it, they shipped it very quick and for a very reasonable price. I have never seen anything like it (ie: the way the copper strands are concentrically wrapped around each other). Seems to perform flawlessly with no noise, and pulled easily thru the walls. My only negatives were #1- outside jacket is cream colored and does not look good coming out of a pure white ceiling, & #2- the cable is wrapped way to tightly on the small reel, so you get curly-cues- especially at the end. It would be better packaged as a 1 foot diameter "loop", & get rid of the small reel. I have never seen anything like it (ie: the way the copper strands are concentrically wrapped around each other). Seems to perform flawlessly with no noise, and pulled easily thru the walls. My only negatives were #1- outside jacket is cream colored and does not look good coming out of a pure white ceiling, & #2- the cable is wrapped way to tightly on the small reel, so you get curly-cues- especially at the end. It would be better packaged as a 1 foot diameter "loop", & get rid of the small reel. I highly reccomend this product, but next time I would take it off the reel and let it "relax" on the garage floor for a week before installing. 76 out of 78 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
