If you want to take advantage of the very latest technologies, you'll need an advanced HDMI cable like the AudioQuest Forest. It's one of a new breed of HDMI cables with a "High Speed with Ethernet" rating. Connecting your components with AQ Forest is a great way to prepare your system for the most cutting-edge features available today, as well as what's on the way.

HDMI 1.4-compliant to support technologies like 3D TV
One of the most exciting new technologies for 2010 is 3D TV. A 3D video connection between a 3D Blu-ray player and a 3D TV must be able to simultaneously pass dual 1080p video signals along with lossless audio. AQ Forest is certified to handle the maximum data rate that HDMI allows — 10.2Gbps. It's constructed using premium materials throughout to maximize the crystal-clear picture and sound quality available from the latest high-definition digital sources.

AudioQuest Forest is fully backward-compatible with HDMI 1.3 and earlier cables. Bit Error Rate testing ensures that every cable passes signals as accurately as possible.

Solid core conductors for better signal transfer
AudioQuest is known for their superior build quality, and their Forest HDMI cables are no exception. They use high-purity copper, solid-core conductors to ensure every ounce of picture and sound information makes it to your gear — something that can be difficult for poorer-quality cables, especially at longer lengths. The bottom line: you'll enjoy exceptionally clear, noise-free video and audio.

Safe for in-wall installation
If you want a clean, professional look with your custom home theater system, in-wall cables are a must. This CL3-rated HDMI cable from AudioQuest can be safely run inside your walls and ceilings, and will provide superior picture and sound quality, even over long runs.

Features

Solid-Long-Grain Copper Conductors: The Audioquest Forest HDMI cable uses solid LGC (Long-Grain Copper) conductors to eliminate inter-strand distortion and reduce jitter. Forest's solid Long-Grain Copper allows a smoother and clearer sound than cables using regular OFHC (Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity) copper. LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, less impurities, less grain boundaries, and definitively better performance.

Solid High-Density Polyethylene Insulation: Its Polyethylene insulation ensures critical signal-pair geometry, while minimizing insulation-induced phase distortion.

Gold-Plated Connectors: The Audioquest Forest HDMI cable features gold-plated HDMI standard size (Type-A) connectors for maximum signal transfer.

HDMI 1.4: The Audioquest Forest HDMI cable is version HDMI 1.4 compatible. This means the HDMI cable is High-Speed rated and supports transfer of 1080p/120Hz, 4k, and 3D video; as well as supports ARC (Audio Return Channel) and Ethernet Channel function.

  • 1080p/120Hz: Supports high-definition 1080p video resolutions with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
  • 3D: Defines input/output protocols for major 3D video formats, allowing true 3D gaming and 3D home theater applications.
  • 4K Support: Enables video resolutions (3840 x 2160 or 4096 x 2160) beyond 1080p, supporting next-generation displays that will rival the Digital Cinema systems used in many commercial movie theatres.
  • ARC (Audio Return Channel): Allows an HDMI-connected TV with a built-in tuner to send audio data "upstream" to a surround audio system, eliminating the need for a separate audio cable.
  • Ethernet Channel: Adds high-speed networking to an HDMI link, allowing users to take full advantage of their IP-enabled devices without a separate Ethernet cable.

In-Wall Rated: The Audioquest Forest HDMI cable is CMG/FT4 rated for in-wall installation.

Directional: For audio signal, the HDMI cable is directional. Please use cable with arrows pointing form source to receiver, such as set-top box to receiver or monitor.
