An HDMI cable's job is to accurately carry digital signals from a high-definition component to an HDTV. This massive amount of data must maintain precise timing to deliver crystal-clear picture and sound. That's why AudioQuest puts even their entry-level HDMI-A cables through Bit Error Rate tests — to make sure they pass signals as accurately as possible. AudioQuest designed these cables to meet the HDMI 1.3 spec, with support for 1080p video, as well as the new lossless audio formats. You can be confident that you're seeing and hearing every detail.

AudioQuest coats the oxygen-free copper conductors with a thin layer of metal to prevent oxidation for the life of the cable. The four main conductors use a very precise twist ratio to help prevent signal degradation over longer runs. The high-density polyethylene insulation includes a gas-injected foam layer for improved stability. A special heating process seals the foam on both sides to maintain full performance despite cable bending and compression.

Product Highlights:

  • length: 2 meters (6.6 ft.)
  • supports video up to 1080p
  • rated for HDMI version 1.3
  • skin/foam/skin polyethylene dielectric
  • conductive-coated oxygen-free copper conductors
  • gold-plated contacts
  • 28-gauge design
  • UL- and CSA-listed for in-wall installations

Hi Quality Product

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a high quality product that is and performs as stated. The cheap HDMI cables outh there today just don't work with the precision and quality of this product. I would definitely buy this product again.

Very Good

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've done a lot of technical research on HDMI cables. The bottom line is either they work (i.e., you get a picture) or they don't. Don't believe all that marketing about the high priced cables. They do not perform any better than this low priced cable. And since it's from Crutchfield you know it is pretty good. Save your money and but this cheap, but very good cable.

Works Good

Good Cable, but be careful of "snake oil" cable sales tactics!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Purchased two of these cables and I am pleased. Good quality construction and seem like they will last a long time. However, this is the MOST $ I will ever spend on an HDMI cable. Do not buy all the bull that many retailers try to feed you, claiming a more expensive cable will produce better audio/video. Its malarkey. I am not blaming retailers for this - many are fooled into believing a $250 cable out-performs this cable. It simply doesn't. Just look at the double blind studies on this topic. To sum up- buy this cable if you want a long lasting, well built cable. But do not believe that a more expensive cable will yield a better picture!

Better to order long rather than short!

Written By ernest, San Diego CA on Saturday, December 26, 2009

I ordered the 1 meter cables at first and learned a valuable lesson, better to order long
cables rather than short. Called Crutchfield and got a return number and return label.
This time i ordered the 3 meter cables and now i have plenty of room. Cable work great,
and Crutchfield customer service is why i always come back!

Great cable

I bought 3 of these with my new HD television and Sony Bravia surround sound
system, all from Crutchfield. Great cable. I have one running from my Samsung
LCD HD tv to my Sony surround receiver and will run another from my PS3 to my
Samsung as well. Great cable.

This is a great value. I even purchased the "Open Box" version and saved more.
cable was pristine, well secured, well wrapped. plugged into my Onkyo TRS-606
and HDMI port on my Netflix Roku and I was watching HD streaming video in less
than 5 minutes. I am a devoted Crutchfield customer and will never go anywhere
else for my home entertainment equipment

All I needed.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I just bought a complete system from Crutchfield. I ended up needing and buying $165 worth of cords to get the best conections to my components. I bought this 1-meter HDMI cord to go from my new PS-3 into my new Yamaha RXV-463 Receiver. It works great. The Yamaha is hooked into my 46in LCD HDTV via another HDMI cable. The Blu-Ray movies and the PS-3 games are amazing to look at ! HDMI is the way to go for best pic and sound... and this cord does a spectacular job for a nice price. Also.. Crutchfield is # 1 in product, service, and help. I used their web sight and hand picked my component system that shakes my little house.. knowing that if ever a need arises.. Crutchfield will be there to help.

This cable is a snap as far as connecting your equipment but its over-priced. I could have bought one much cheaper elsewhere!! It does however deliver a very nice picture.

Quality product, fair price

Written By Harry, Reading, MA on Saturday, February 28, 2009

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nice cable. Great picture quality, snug fit (not too tight, not too loose), no burrs or sharp edges on the metal, uniform gold plating, a nice "fit & finish." I work in electronics and can easily ID a cheap-o or well made cable. This is well made.
Some reviews say it's too expensive. Not at all. This is at an ideal place for price vs. quality. Will not hesitate to buy more as I add components.
The only downside I notice is that it's quite stiff - doesn't make sharp turns (the technical term is "bend radius.") It comes from the factory rolled up in a 7" diameter circle (3 1/2" radius) and I wouldn't bend it any tighter than that. If you have tight corners you may have to pay more for a "flat" style more flexible cable.

A Good Cable

Written By Francesca, Chicago, IL on Sunday, February 15, 2009

There's not much to say about a connecting cable, even an HDMI one. Basically, it carries the signal clearly and reliably, it seems well made and durable, and it stays plugged in despite fan vibration and temperature changes. I'm quite pleased with it.
The only downside is a rather high price for such a basic piece of equipment, but I suppose we have to expect to pay a premium for "the hot new thing" technology (HDMI, in this case).

Works fine, still overpriced.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This cable does what it is supposed to do (transmit a signal), no more, no less. Unfortunately, the cost is in line with the hyperinflated costs related to most cabling for audio/video. Paying these exorbitant prices (Monster--as in prices) will not buy you any better performance in the transmittal of signals or current. Buy the appropriate thickness cabling for your application and you'll be fine. Unless status is your goal, but really, who even cares about your cabling; use some sense, unlike me, and spend only what you have to to do the job.

Paid Too Much - But Keep Coming Back

Written By Michelle, Memphis, TN on Wednesday, January 21, 2009

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The product is fine. I believe that a HDMI cable is a HDMI cable. No surprises here.

However, I do regret paying so much for this product.

After already buying this production from Crutchfield, I purchased a similar product - made from perhaps even better materials - for much, much less from another on-line retailer.

Don't get me wrong...Crutchfield prices HDMI cables not much different than most big box retailers, but these cables are way over-priced. With that said, Crutchfield's product information and customer service is awesome. This is why I keep coming back to Cruthfield time after time. It makes paying too much hurt a little less.

A real bargain

I connected this cable to a 32"Sony 720p Led HDTV. Installation was VERY simple. The hook-up for digital & Hi-def channels was previously component cables. What a difference in the picture quality! The picture is so much crisper than before. An awesome product!

I have purchased many cables from many different vendors, often spending a lot of money for big brand names. This Audioquest cable has worked extremely well over the last several months, and provides every bit the quality of those more expensive.

It's not Rocket Science

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

We recently purchased a new Sony HD DVD player from Crutchfield to go with our new HD television. We also needed the HDMI cable to go with it to recieve the quality of Hi-Def. The DVD player hooks up just like any other DVD Player but it has an extra port for the HDMI cable which runs to your television. If you can plug in a lamp you can plug in an HDMI cable. There's not much to say other than the price and quality is just what you would expect from Crutchfield. Between myself and my sons we have made many purchases over the last seven or eight years from Crutchfield. We've purchased many different products from car stereos to speaker box components to DVD players and HDMI cables. In every instance we have enjoyed the prompt delivery, printed instructions, and undefineable quality and customer assistance provided by the Crutchfield team.
