This massive amount of data must maintain precise timing to deliver crystal-clear picture and sound. That's why AudioQuest puts even their entry-level HDMI-A cables through Bit Error Rate tests to make sure they pass signals as accurately as possible. AudioQuest designed these cables to meet the HDMI 1.3 spec, with support for 1080p video, as well as the new lossless audio formats. You can be confident that you're seeing and hearing every detail. AudioQuest coats the oxygen-free copper conductors with a thin layer of metal to prevent oxidation for the life of the cable. The four main conductors use a very precise twist ratio to help prevent signal degradation over longer runs. The high-density polyethylene insulation includes a gas-injected foam layer for improved stability. A special heating process seals the foam on both sides to maintain full performance despite cable bending and compression. The cheap HDMI cables outh there today just don't work with the precision and quality of this product. I would definitely buy this product again. Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Very Good Written By John, Mount Clemens, MI on Monday, January 25, 2010 I've done a lot of technical research on HDMI cables. The bottom line is either they work (i.e., you get a picture) or they don't. Don't believe all that marketing about the high priced cables. They do not perform any better than this low priced cable. And since it's from Crutchfield you know it is pretty good. Save your money and but this cheap, but very good cable. Was this review helpful? Written By Tom, North Jersey on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 Purchased two of these cables and I am pleased. Good quality construction and seem like they will last a long time. However, this is the MOST $ I will ever spend on an HDMI cable. Do not buy all the bull that many retailers try to feed you, claiming a more expensive cable will produce better audio/video. Its malarkey. I am not blaming retailers for this - many are fooled into believing a $250 cable out-performs this cable. It simply doesn't. Just look at the double blind studies on this topic. To sum up- buy this cable if you want a long lasting, well built cable. But do not believe that a more expensive cable will yield a better picture! Was this review helpful?
