About the AudioQuest NRG-1
An easy performance upgrade
An easy performance upgrade
Lots of Blu-ray players, satellite/cable boxes, and video game consoles come with a detachable AC power cord. That's a useful feature because it gives you the flexibility to upgrade to a higher-quality cable. It may surprise you, but simply replacing your component's stock power cord with AudioQuest's NRG-1 low-distortion AC power cable can noticeably improve your system's picture and sound quality.
Why power cords make a difference
The AC power that feeds your gear is really the foundation of your system's audio and video performance. Even if you've plugged your components into a power conditioner to clean up the current coming out of your wall, a flimsy stock power cord can act as an antenna for airborne interference that subtly degrades high-resolution audio and video signals.
Advanced materials and construction for lower distortion
The NRG-1 uses four solid conductors made of AQ's high-purity Long-Grain Copper. Solid conductors eliminate interaction between wire strands, which is a major source of distortion in an AC power cable.
Make sure it fits your component
The NRG-1 works with most components that have a detachable, two-pole "C7" power cord. That includes many Blu-ray players, most cable and satellite set-top boxes, a few audio receivers, and all PlayStation® and Xbox™ game consoles.

Features
Overview: The Audioquest NRG-1 Power Cord uses solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors in a Quad-Helix configuration. Solid conductors prevent strand interaction, which is the greatest single source of distortion in an audio cable or in an AC power cable. The less complicated grain structure and fewer impurities within LGC copper significantly reduce distortion compared to normal high-purity copper. The Quad-Helix spiral creates a fixed low-inductance relationship between conductors.
Construction: The Audioquest NRG-1 Power Cord features four 19 AWG solid long-grain copper conductors inside a UL CL-3 rated black PVC jacket surrounded by a black, blue, and gray flexible nylon braid.
Connectors: The Audioquest NRG-1 Power Cord features a C7-2 pole connector on one end to plug into your audio/video electronic component and a 2-prong North American AC connector on other end to plug into your AC wall outlet.
Available Lengths: The Audioquest NRG-1 Power Cord is available in a 3', 6', and 10' length.

Pricey, but did cleanup the signal quality on our Xfinity X1 DVR Box, watching sports is a noticeable improvement, so worth it to me (not so much with the wife due to $) Also this is high quality as with all Audioquest products, this should last 10yrs plus no problem.
