Had to buy a replacement HDMI cable from Radio Shack to troubleshoot the issue. Cable box and television were able to initiate HDCP with the replacement HDMI cable with no problem. AudioQuest cable was obviously defective. Called Crutchfield to ask for a refund. Was told I could not get a refund because the cable was "free," as part of a $1500 purchase I made from Crutchfield. "Free" as part of a package purchase is to free as military intelligence is to intelligence. So Crutchfield is sending me a replacement AudioQuest HDMI cable that I don't need. If it works, maybe I'll keep it, and maybe I'll sell it. If it doesn't work, I'll call Crutchfield for another "free" cable. Pros: "Free" as part of a major purchase....whatever that means.
