The latest home theater technologies look and sound amazing, but to enjoy them you'll need an advanced HDMI cable like the AudioQuest Pearl. It's rated "High Speed with Ethernet," so it can carry the highest-resolution video available — all the way up to 4K at 60 frames per second. Connecting your components with AQ Pearl is a great way to ensure that your system will deliver the best performance from the most advanced video formats, both today and in the future.
Pearl is one of AudioQuest's most affordable HDMI cables, but it's made with premium materials throughout to maximize the crystal-clear picture and sound quality available from the latest high-definition digital sources. AudioQuest HDMI cables are designed to carry 100% of the data required for all of HDMI's current audio/video features including 1080p and 4K video, HDR, and multichannel high-resolution audio. (For the most data-intensive sources, like 4K with HDR, Crutchfield recommends a maximum length of 5 meters for copper-based HDMI cables.)
Of course, AudioQuest Pearl is also fully backward-compatible with HDMI 1.3 and earlier cables. Bit Error Rate testing ensures that every cable passes signals as accurately as possible.
Audiophiles and videophiles have come to expect superior build quality from AudioQuest cables and the Pearl design is no exception. High-purity copper, solid-core conductors ensure that every bit of picture and sound information makes it to your gear — something that can be a challenge for poorer-quality cables, especially at longer lengths.
If you want a clean, professional look with your custom home theater system, in-wall cables are a great option. This HDMI cable from AudioQuest can be safely run inside your walls and ceilings.

Pros: Works great
Just installed a 7.1 surround in-ceiling system in my basement with my equipment rack in an adjacent utility room. Bought a 30' cheap HDMI cable from a competitors website and ran it before I installing my 70" tv. Hooked up the HDMI cable to the receiver only to find there was no signal. So either through signal degredation or just a bad cable, I had to find a replacement. Bought this cable and pulled it through the walls via the old cable, plugged it in and it worked right away! This cable has thicker cladding, and is slightly more stiff. Relieved it wasn't an issue with the tv or the receiver. Lessons learned: test a cable before you run it in the walls; don't install the tv before you know everything works; with longer HDMI cables, you get what you pay for!
Pros: Great for longer runs, in-wall use!
Cons: None so far!
Great quality cable.
Pros: Easy to install and good qulity
After researching high quality in wall rated HDMI cables I found the AudioQuest Pearl. It was perfect for the applications I was using it for and fit within my budget. Crutchfield's pricing was competitive which can be difficult with all of the online retailers out there. I have three Pearls running my Directv, Apple TV and my Playstation 3 to my JBL SB400 and then a AudioQuest Cinnamon 3' HDMI cable running from my soundbar to my TV. It works flawlessly. Picture and audio are first rate. My only issue was with install. The cables were thicker than I anticipated and running three of them through my conduit in my wall was difficult but not impossible. But with the added shielding it was something I was willing to work with. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.
Good performance and price

Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) Conductors: Solid conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion. Pearl's solid Long-Grain Copper allows a smoother and clearer sound than cables using regular OFHC (Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity) copper. OFHC is a general metal industry specification regarding "loss" without any concern for distortion. LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, less impurities, less grain boundaries, and definitively better performance.
Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation: Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy (loss). Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Pearl HDMI uses air-filled Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation because air absorbs next to no energy and Polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile. Thanks to all the air in Foamed-PE, it causes much less of the out-of-focus effect common to other materials.
High Speed Data Capacity: All AudioQuest HDMI cables up to 10 meters (32.8') meet or exceed the 10.2 Gbps maximum data rate for HDMI and are approved High Speed cables. This means that all AudioQuest cables up to 10 meters are capable of transmitting 100% of the data required for all of HDMI's current audio/video features including multichannel high-resolution audio, 1080p and 4k video, and 3D video from Blu-ray. All AQ HDMI cables will deliver 100% of the data required for 120Hz/240Hz/600Hz displays.
Note: AudioQuest HDMI cables which are 12 meters (39.3') to 20 meters (65.6') are Standard Speed with support for up to 1080p (not 4k).
HDMI 2.0: All AudioQuest High Speed HDMI cables (up to 10 meters) are capable of transmitting 18 Gbps signals, including 4K@60p and 4K 3D, when used with HDMI 2.0 electronics.
ARC & Ethernet Enabled: AQ's HDMI cable supports ARC (Audio Return Channel) which allows an HDMI-connected TV with a built-in tuner to send audio data "upstream" to a surround audio system, eliminating the need for a separate audio cable. The AQ HDMI cable also adds high-speed networking to it HDMI link, allowing you to take full advantage of your IP-enabled devices without a separate Ethernet cable.
Gold-Plated Connectors: The Audioquest HDMI cable features gold-plated HDMI standard size (Type-A) connectors for maximum signal transfer.
Directionality:All AQ HDMI cables are directional. The correct direction is determined by listening to every batch of metal conductors used in every AudioQuest HDMI cable. All signal conductors controlled for digital-audio direction in AudioQuest HDMI cables, and care is even taken to run the conductors used in the Audio Return Channel in the opposite direction to ensure the best performance for that application. Arrows are clearly marked on the connectors to ensure superior sound quality.
In-Wall Rated: The Audioquest Pearl HDMI cable is CMG/FT4 rated for in-wall installation.
