Customer Q&A

Q
I need to know exactly how to use jumpers? So different from metal jumpers that were originally attached.

A
I cut them & bent them to fit. The idea was to provide better conductivity compared to the factory jumpers. Subsequently however, I went to bi-wiring, which proved an even greater benefit.

Q
How do these install? Are these a bare wire conductor? I feel like I need a video to understand. Before I buy. Unless I should just save my money for a better jumper?

A
They are bare wire & stiff...though malleable enough to bend to your desired shape & specs. They actually worked quite well.

Q
Do I need to strip these cables to get to the bare wire or just put the wires as they are into the holes that are in the middle section of the 4 posts of my speakers?

A
No need to strip them just wrap them around the post. Better yet if you have unused speaker ports consider bi-amping for a much better sound

A
no, these are not speaker wire, install as is use electrical pliers to tighten

Q
Is using these with AudioQuest X2 cable the same as using a dedicated bi-wire speaker cable? I'm thinking about running X2 to my rear surrounds (JBL L820s) and I'd like to bi-wire them as well if possible.

A
These jumpers are used when you have a speaker that can be bi-wired, but you don't want to do so. This is usually due to cost, as bi-wiring requires an additional set of cables per speaker, or an expensive specialty cable that takes two terminals on one end, and outputs to 4 terminals on the other. I have the Silver RX 6 towers from Monitor Audio, and like most manufacturers, they provide a set of brass stamped connectors to tie the high end of the speaker to the low. These connectors are not very high quality. The jumpers replace those stamped connectors, allowing me to drive the speakers with one set of cables.
