Our take on the AudioQuest Sorbothane® Self Stick Sheet

Sorbothane is a synthetic polymer used for isolation and vibration damping. When the very long molecules in Sorbothane absorb vibrations they wiggle, converting the kinetic energy into a negligible amount of heat. You can use the whole sheet or cut it into smaller pieces to help damp vibration and protect your furniture.

Features

Overview: The AudioQuest Sorbothane self-adhesive sheet is a 6" square sheet with a strong adhesive backing, designed to be cut into smaller pieces and attached to your speakers or audio/video components.

Sorbothane: The sheet is made of Sorbothane, a synthetic, visco-elastic polymer. Its very long molecules turning kinetic energy (vibration) into an insignificant amount of heat.

Performance: Using the Sorbothane will improve the sound and picture of your A/V system by both isolating and damping unwanted vibrations. Harmful resonances from speakers and subwoofers can enter into DVD players and receivers if not absorbed.

Usage: The smaller pieces of Sorbothane are to be placed near the corners of your speakers to prevent sympathetic vibration. It can also be placed on the inside or outside cabinets of CD players and DVD players, as well as phono cartridges and tonearm headshells. Other household uses include applying to noisy appliance panels and other places where you want to reduce energy transmission.
