If I'm objective about it, some (OK many) pricy cables I've bought over the years have been disappointing, with very subtle improvements at best. Not this cable. Bass depth AND clarity with music were obvious right out of the box, compared to the AQ Sub-X cables they replace. I can hear a distinct difference even from other rooms in the house, no boominess whatsoever. Movie effects are much tighter, "quicker" and lifelike, less "fake-sounding rumble".
I'm using these with 2 PSB SubSeries 300 subs. System: NAD T787, NAD M51 DAC, NAD C565 CD, Marantz NA7004 NW player, and PSB Synchrony 2 towers. Stream FLAC via JRiver and ALAC via Airplay.
This cable is a winner, much more than a subtle improvement. Takes my whole system up a notch. Makes everything sound better, especially taking advantage of the clean signals from the M51 DAC. Will be interesting to see if there's a break-in period, and if they get even better!
Pros: Bass depth and clarity. MUCH more natural sound than any prior sub cables I've used (there have been quite a few)
Cons: Bit pricy, but not in the crazy-talk range
