Sound is amazing including a bass boost that is very impressive for it's size. My roommate and I took this everywhere with us when we were in the Bahamas and people did not stop coming up to us in amazement of the stereo's looks, size and sound. Works great whether it was in our room, at the pool or on the beach. Just have to make sure that the battery is correctly inserted into the remote for the best performance. Also, kind of a pain, but you have to take your I-Pod/I-Phone off of the docking station otherwise it will continue to charge and ultimately ruin the battery. I give this a 5 Star rating for it's quality, performance and dependability. But when I plugged it in, dropped in the iPod, and started listening to some of my favorite tracks I was very pleasantly surprised. Considering its size, weight, and price, the sound is really good. I had to employ the bass boost to really get what I'm looking for from the low end, and even then it misses a few things. But still, the sound is full, warm, and somewhat detailed. It's very portable and I get the impression that it's pretty tough. Looking forward to using it outside with the solar panel.
