Klipsch Heresy III
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Well, I finally ordered them and all I can say is I am glad I did...really glad. First, I was skeptical about the possible horn sound-I can tell you it is not there! Next, fit and finish-beyond expectation; made in America DOES mean something. The subwoofer issue-subjective to say the least. I am enjoying them without a 'woof' and the sonic footprint is fantastic-crisp, well detailed and with an old school hifi sound that's killer. The bass is tight and quick...I do have a good integrated (Rogue Sphinx). Sure they image a bit low, but the sheer sound pressure is addicting-they are forgiving in regards to room placement. I felt a need to compare them to a tower speaker in the same price range, so I did! I had them side by side with the Monitor Audio Silver 8....the Silver 8's CANNOT HOLD A CANDLE to the Heresy's...nuff said and they are now boxed and ready to re-ship!! If this is your price range and you have good equipment up-stream (my digital source is an Oppo Bdp 105) plus good cables, I believe these babies are hard to beat. Bye the way, they look stunning in black. At 30 hrs in, they are loosening up and its getting better. I can only imagine what a quality all-tube integrated amp would do...I will be saving up some cash...haha!! To all who helped me at Crutchfield, a heartfelt thanks. I will be doing business with you all for a long time to come. Thanks again.
Pros: sweet sounding...fun...fun...fun! Absolute incredible bang for the buck!! Use good electronics and they will reward ya!
Cons: zippo, nada
