Wrap yourself up in the THX surround experience
The Klipsch KS-525-THX surround speakers deliver the power, detail, and immersive effects you'd expect in a big, high-end movie theater — only sized just right to enjoy in the comfort of your home. That's because Klipsch uses the same technology found in their professional-grade cinema models to give these speakers their intense, realistic sound.
The KS-525-THXs bear the THX Ultra2 seal of approval, which means they can produce crisp, clear output at highly demanding reference levels in rooms as large as 3,000 cubic feet. Use these compact powerhouses in your own ultimate THX surround sound system for rear-channel effects that make you feel like you're part of the action.
Klipsch's Wide Dispersion Surround Technology™ angled-driver design provides rich, immersive sound and precise localization of surround sound effects.
Advanced design for focused sound
The KS-525-THX uses Klipsch Wide Dispersion Surround Technology™ featuring an angled baffle design that places each woofer/tweeter combination facing diagonally opposite to the other. This unique positioning minimizes interference between the drivers and gives them the ability to deliver a deep, enveloping soundfield while providing precise localization of special effects.
Each cabinet contains two 1" titanium dome compression drivers paired with Klipsch's Tractrix® horns. These large, flared openings project high frequencies toward your listening area and prevent sound waves from simply spilling out in all directions. The horn design helps the speaker reproduce accurate detail with everything you listen to, while reducing reflections that can color the sound. The horns also improve dynamics and efficiency, for powerful, "front row" sound that remains crystal clear at all volume levels. Two 5-1/4" Cerametallic™ anodized aluminum woofers pump out detailed, low-distortion mids and bass.
Built for the long haul
To ensure years of top-notch performance, Klipsch builds their THX certified speakers to the highest standards. Each sealed enclosure features the same dado and rabbet locked-panel construction found in their professional speakers for maximum structural integrity and strength. Premium-quality internal wiring is used throughout for superior signal transfer and clarity. And Klipsch finishes off the KS-525-THXs with a beautiful and durable fascia of black brushed aluminum.

Features
THX Ultra2 Certification: Because of its THX Ultra2 certification, the Klipsch KS-525-THX surround loudspeaker works well with multichannel movie and music presentations playing up to reference levels in rooms of 3,000 cubic feet or larger.
Wide Dispersion Surround Technology (WDST): The Klipsch KS-525-THX delivers precise sonic detail through the careful positioning of two Tractrix Horn loaded titanium-diaphragm tweeters and two 5.25" woofers. By aligning the two horns at 90° with respect to each other, along with the two woofers, the KS-525-THX smoothly covers a 180° horizontal arc, allowing maximum placement flexibility. This unique Wide Dispersion Surround Technology delivers a new dimension of reality and convenience, and produces a smooth, seamless broad distribution of sound, which is the perfect vehicle for every surround format.
Tractrix Horn Tweeters: The Klipsch KS-525-THX utilizes dual 5" square Tractrix Horns for a more genuine, lifelike sound. The Tractrix Horns deliver a 90° wide by 60° high dispersion pattern for a broader sound-stage. In addition, behind each horn lies a 1" aluminum dome tweeter with a linear travel suspension for open, natural, sound.
Cerametallic Woofers: The dual 5.25" woofers of the KS-525-THX surround loudspeaker feature Klipsch's distinctive, copper-colored Cerametallic material. Made with an anodized aluminum, this cone is strong and dent resistant. The anodizing process converts its inner and outer surfaces to ceramic. The outcome is a rigid cone with superb damping characteristics that will not flex or resonate at frequencies within the woofer's operating range The 5.25" woofers also employ a rubber surround for added durability.
Crossover Network: For signal purity and perfect driver integration, the 2100Hz crossover on the KS-525-THX features the finest components and Klipsch custom internal wiring.
Sealed MDF Enclosure: Construction is to the highest standard, with a professional-grade rabbet and dado locked panel cabinet made from MDF (medium density fiberboard). For additional rigidity, the front baffle is constructed of anodized aluminum.
Dual Binding Posts: The KS-525-THX speaker has two sets of binding posts connected by jumpers. Using the dual binding posts, you can bi-amp or bi-wire the speakers. The binding post terminals will accept banana plugs (single or dual), pin-connectors, spade-connectors, and bare wire.
Mounting Options Each surround speaker comes supplied with four self-adhesive rubber feet so you can sit the speakers on a stand or shelf securely. The rubber feet add approximately 0.3125" to the height of the speaker. The Klipsch THX surround speaker features dual keyhole slots on the back of the cabinet for wall-mounting the speaker without any additional wall-mount bracket (mounting screws not supplied).
Placement: The Klipsch Wide Dispersion Surround Technology surround speakers in a typical 5.1/7.1-channel system can be mounted to side or rear walls. It is recommended that the KS-525-THX be mounted above the ear height of seated listeners (between 5'-6' above the floor).
