About the Klipsch Quintet
Compact, high-performance speakers
Compact, high-performance speakers
Don't let its small size fool you this Klipsch® five-speaker system delivers rich, accurate sound to make all your favorite movies, tunes, and video games more enjoyable. It boasts many of the same technologies and design principles Klipsch uses in their larger Reference Series speakers, so you'll hear distinctive, dynamic sound. The unobtrusive Quintet combo makes a great choice for a bedroom or den, or for anyone who wants high-quality sound without big, boxy speakers crowding the living room. And each speaker features a contemporary sculpted cabinet that looks right at home alongside today's flat-panel TVs.
Crisp, dynamic sound thanks to high-tech drivers and cabinets
The Quintet's injection-molded graphite woofers are lightweight but tough enough to deliver tight bass and clean midrange. Crisp treble comes courtesy of aluminum compression drivers coupled with efficient Klipsch Tractrix® horns flared openings in each enclosure that project high frequencies toward your listening area and prevent sound waves from simply spilling out in all directions. All of the drivers are housed in AcoustaComp® enclosures made from a dense, anti-resonant material to keep cabinet vibration from adversely affecting sound. You can place the Quintets on a shelf, or use the keyhole slots or threaded inserts on the back to mount them on your wall for a clean, out-of-the-way installation.
Pair the Quintet system with any Klipsch subwoofer to complete your home theater.

System Features
Overview: The Klipsch Quintet (5th generation) bundles four satellite speakers and a center-channel speaker together. Two of the satellite speakers serve as front left & right main channels, while the other two satellite speakers operate as rear surrounds. The magnetically-shielded center channel delivers crisp dialogue and precise imaging. Regardless of where you put it, the system has a clean, modern appearance that blends nicely with any décor. It features a satin black finish and black cloth grilles; a color scheme that beautifully complements today's flat-panel TVs.
Optional Powered Sub: The Quintet speaker package has an overall frequency response of 110 to 23,000 Hz and will require a powered subwoofer (sold separately) for full-range sound. Check out these powered subs from Klipsch.
Driver Technology
Tractrix Horn Technology: Each Quintet loudspeaker employs a 90° x 90° Tractrix Horn designed to expand both placement flexibility and the main listening area, without generating excessive reflected sounds that reduce overall sound clarity. Instead of simply adding a basic tweeter waveguide like some competitive models, the proprietary Tractrix curve at the horn's mouth functions as a more sophisticated waveguide, reducing reflections both into the main listening area and reflections back to the guide itself, for a more detailed sound with superior vocal clarity. Additionally, horn-loading creates the exclusive benefits of higher efficiency (more sound output with the same power input for truly big sound ), much lower distortion (to reveal even the smallest sonic details not even heard in other designs) and increased dynamic range (which produces a more lifelike, exciting sound at any volume level.
Aluminum Tweeter: Combined with the Tractrix Horn; the lightweight, responsive, aluminum diaphragm 0.75" tweeter works with a precise phasing plug at the horn's throat to create a highly efficient driver with excellent transient response and lack of distortion. The new Linear Travel Suspension assures the most precise diaphragm excursion, further increasing high-frequency detail and balance.
Long-Throw IMG Woofers: All the Quintet loudspeakers feature long-throw IMG (injected molded graphite) 3.5" woofers. These woofers are lightweight, yet very stiff and are matched with large motor structures for maximum controlled excursion that creates a more balanced bass output. The four satellite loudspeakers feature one IMG woofer, while the center-channel speaker is fitted with two IMG woofers.
Crossover Network: The tweeter and woofer are complimented by a new, "audiophile" quality crossover network which mates those two drivers perfectly.
Enclosure Design
Bass Reflex Enclosure: The Quintet loudspeakers employ a bass reflex enclosure with a single rear-firing port for greater bass response and higher efficiency.
AcoustaComp Cabinets: The entire Quintet surround system (4 satellite speakers and a dedicated center channel) uses cabinets composed of professional grade AcoustaComp composite materials. AcoustaComp is a material that is naturally dense, rigid and acoustically inert, with a uniquely exquisite finish. This specialized material, formed into Quintet's speaker cabinets with non-parallel walls to diminish internal standing waves, is truly the next generation in compact home speaker technology.
Detachable Grilles: Each speaker comes with a black cloth detachable grille.
Connections
Spring-Post Terminals: Each Quintet loudspeaker is fitted with a pair of spring-post terminals which will accept bare wire (up to 14AWG) and pin-connectors.
Color-Coded: The speaker terminals are color-coded (red/black) for easy identification between positive and negative.
Mounting Options
Rubber Feet: The Quintet satellite & center-channel speakers come with self-adhesive rubber feet (4 each) so you can sit the speaker on a stand, table or shelf safely and securely.
Wall Mountable: The Quintet satellite & center-channel speakers feature keyhole slots on the back of the cabinet for wall-mounting the speakers without any additional wall-mount bracket (mounting screws not supplied). There is also a 1/4"-20 threaded insert on the back of each loudspeaker for mounting the speakers to the wall using an optional articulating bracket (sold separately). Each satellite speaker features a single keyhole slot and one 1/4"-20 threaded insert. The center-channel speaker features dual keyhole slots and two 1/4"-20 threaded inserts.

Amazing. They don't miss a beat, even at very loud volumes. You can hear every detail. Dialogue is clear at low volumes. Definitely a good buy for anyone with limited space.
