Thundering Bass..don't regret buying this!

I bought this part of the matching system recommended by Klipsch:
Klipsch RS42 Black (Each) Surround Speaker
Klipsch RW10d Black Subwoofer
Klipsch RC52 Black Center Speaker
Klipsch Reference Series RF-52 (floor speakers)
I have this configured as a 7.1 system in a basement. When watching a movie with explosion or any type of sound effect with deep bass, you can feel the thundering bass thru the concrete floor and the walls vibrate. No exageration, the plates on the 1st floor in dish rack rattle little. I only use at night as the vibration is amazing. The opening sequence of 007: Quantum of Solace is an excellent demo of this sub's capability. Having said that, the 260 watt amp in this is more than enough for an avg. basement. The more powerful versions of Klipsch subwoofers may be good for an extra large basement (possibly home of 4000 sq. ft area).
It is pricey but well worth it, if you demand a premium system. I have no regrets.

This subwoofer rocks!

I just received this subwoofer along with the Klipsch RS-10, RB-51, and RC52. I paired these speakers with a Yamaha RXV663 and connected them to our new Samsung LN52B650 tv. Upon ordering, my husband had been calling the system, "Your speakers". Now I can't get near the tv. He loves it. We tested the system with a dvd of Lord of the Rings and when they galloped the horses through a stream, you could hear the water splash and hit the shore line. Wow, did we get our moneys worth!

This sub is amazing

This subwoofer is great. I decided between this and the Klipsch Sub-12. I am pleased with my decision. The 10" woofer is accurate and clean, but has enough excursion to really put out the lows. I have it placed in a corner and I had to re-screw some sheet rock that was vibrating due to the bass. It has a bit of port noise once the bass gets very low (I'm talking 20Hz here), but so do many other subwoofers 2x this price.
The digital amp is well worth the money, you get 3 presets, Movie, Music, and Night. You can customize them all the way you want. I have the movie set on flat, and the level at 0 with the crossover at 80hz. My music setting is set at Punch (and man it punches) and the crossover at 85hz. And my night setting is completely off.
I also have it set up so that it changes settings with my Harmony remote (because it has an IR on the back of the enclosure).
I was worried at first that 260 watts RMS was going to be too small, but with the correct placement, i have to tone the thing down sometimes because I am worried about knocking stuff off walls.. Buy this.
