This router allows you to create a home network of up to four computers, or even more when you add an optional Ethernet switch. It connects to your broadband modem to distribute Internet service, configuring your computers' IP (Internet Protocol) addresses automatically for easy setup. The router installs in an On-Q structured wiring enclosure using the supplied bracket.

Product Overview: The On-Q DA1004 4-Port Fast Ethernet Router/Switch is a flexible hardware configurable switch/router, designed to be used as a router with an integrated 4-port Fast Ethernet switch, or just as a switch for use with a 3rd party external router. It includes four LAN ports and one WAN port. You can connect a small group of PCs to a high-speed broadband Internet connection. Up to 253 users can be supported on a single Internet line (via cable or xDSL modem). The module is installed in a double-bay metal mounting bracket, allowing you to mount it into a standard On-Q enclosure.
Configuration: You can use a configure your PC's network interface card to talk to the Router/Switch. With your PC connected to one of the local ports on the Router/Switch, and the front panel routing switch set to "On", you can configure the Router/Switch to your system using the Setup Wizard.
Power Supply: The module requires a 12-volt, 4 watt power supply (not supplied).
Connections: The DA1004 has 5 RJ45 jacks: 4 Local Switch ports and 1 WAN Port.
LED Indicators: Each RJ45 jack has two green LEDs: one lights to indicate 100 Mbps operation, while the other lights to indicate a valid Ethernet link and/or data activity.
