On-Q lyriQ Local Source Input

Overview

Our take on the On-Q lyriQ™ Local Source Input

Add this input module to your lyriQ multi-room audio system to play a "local" audio source — one you've got with you in one of your listening rooms. For instance, if a friend brings over an iPod®, he or she can plug it into this module's input jacks for listening through your system's speakers in the same room. (You'll need a stereo mini-to-RCA cable for iPods and other MP3 players.) Or hook up the audio outputs from a video game or TV.

Connect the local source input module between your On-Q system's distribution module and your amplified in-wall keypad. It automatically overrides the remote music source, then returns to that source when the local source is turned off.

Features

Product Overview: The On-Q F7417 Local Source Input allows you to plug in an auxiliary source device, and listen to it through the speakers in that room. The local source signal has priority over the main source connected to the whole house system. Once the local source becomes inactive or unplugged, the main source will be heard in the zone within 30 seconds. The Local Source input fits into a single gang wall box, and is trimmed out with a Decora wall plate (717WP1205W).

Connections: The Local Source Input has a single pair of stereo RCA jacks on the front for connecting your audio source device. On the back, the input has two 8-position 110-style punchdown connection.
