Features
Overview: The iLIVE IS208B is a portable speaker system
which connects to your iPod through its integrated Apple iPod dock connection.
You can also connect to an MP3 player, cell phone or video game system through
the 3.5mm line input. It has a slim, full-featured remote control for easy
access to your media, along with a digital clock and sleep timer for smart
functionality.
LCD Display: The unit features a single-line, see-through,
white-backlight LCD display which allows you to view the Time, PM Indicator, Aux
Indicator, and EQ Indicator.
Note: This unit does not offer iPod text display.
Speaker System: The IS208B features front-firing
acoustically calibrated speakers for enhanced sound. The speaker system features
preset EQ settings such as Rock, Pop, Classic, Jazz and Off.
iPod Dock: The iLIVE IS208B is equipped with an integrated
Apple iPod adjustable dock which allows you to connect any iPod with a dock
connector using the supplied iPod adapter inserts. You can control the iPod using the
iPod's controls or the IS208B's supplied remote control. Your iPod's controls
will remain fully functional while docked. This unit will also
charge your iPod while it is docked. The iLIVE IS208B is "Made for iPod
compatible" and supports the following iPod model functions (as of June
2010):

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change
functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may
need to reset the device and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality.
If this doesn't work, you may need to revert to the older software
version or wait until an newer software update is available.
iPod Adapter Inserts: This unit comes with 7 iPod adapter
inserts. If none of these adapter inserts fit your iPod/iPhone, use the docking
adapter that came with your iPod/iPhone or purchase one through the Apple Store.
Auxiliary Input: This unit features a rear-panel 3.5mm auxiliary
audio input for connecting an external portable audio device such as the iPod
shuffle or other digital audio media player. The unit also features an MP3
player holder which is designed to fit many portable audio digital players.
Auxiliary Output: This unit also features a rear-panel 3.5mm auxiliary
audio output for connecting the IS208B to your home stereo system. This allows
you to playback your dock iPod's music on your home stereo system speakers.
Wireless Remote Control: The supplied IR wireless remote control
allows you to operate the IS208B as well as your docked iPod. You can access
playback controls and menu functions.
Note: The iPod nano (6th gen) only offers basic playback functions
from the unit's remote control.
Digital Clock With Sleep Timer: The iLIVE
IS208B features a digital
12/24 hr clock with Sleep function. The unit's Sleep Timer can be set from 90 to 10 minutes (in 10
minute intervals) which
allows the unit to turn off automatically.
Power Supply: The unit operates on standard household current.
It also features a battery
backup compartment for two "AAA" batteries (not included).
