The Sensaphone WSG30 is compatible with the following optional wireless sensors:

The WSG30 comes with a power cable that serves to charge the built-in battery backup, so you still get alerts if the power fails.

Instant information

You're busy, and so are your employees. Even if you forget to check the monitor's LCD display frequently, the WSG30 can be programmed to send you text and email alerts the instant an anomaly is detected. If your factory is automated, the monitor can communicate with the automation system through the Modbus protocol, so you can react quickly when something is out of the ordinary. In fact, the system can notify up to 32 people of your choosing, further increasing the likelihood that you'll catch problems before they become emergencies.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The Sensaphone FGD-WSG30 Monitoring System is a web-based security system that offers solutions for users who cannot install hard-wired sensors. You can connect up to 30 wireless sensors wherever you need. In the event of an alarm, you can receive voice alerts and notification through a standard Ethernet connection. Up to 32 people can be notified by email, text message, SNMP, or Modbus. The WSG30 comes with a power supply, Ethernet cable, antenna, and mounting hardware.

Applications: With all of the available sensors, the WSG30 can be used in many applications, including residential, industrial, manufacturing, medical, agricultural, and business.

Network Configuration: The WSG30 is designed for installation on an Ethernet network, which involves assigning it an IP address. Using the 4-button keypad and the 80-character LCD, you can set up the network and configure each of the sensors. The WSG30 is completely programmable from its internal web page (created by the IP address). During setup, you can determine the number of users and their access level, and what action is to be taken if an alarm is triggered by a sensor, such as sending an email or an SMS text message.

Datalogging: The WSG30 can create a datalog of all the sensors you have in the system, giving you a snapshot of the monitoring system at a glance. The datalogging capacity of the unit varies depending upon how many sensors you're logging and what the logging interval is for each sensor. For example, logging only one sensor at any interval produces a maximum of 67,000 samples. If you log 15 sensors at the same interval, the WSG30 will store 238,000 samples of each sensor. Logging 30 sensors at the same interval will produce 243,000 samples of each sensor. Once the memory becomes full, the datalogger will start overwriting the oldest records.

Battery Backup: The WSG30 features a 6V 1.3AH rechargeable battery backup that keeps the system running in the case of a power failure. The system monitors the condition of the battery and will trigger an alarm if the battery gets low. If the main power fails, the WSG30 will automatically switch over to the backup battery. The backup battery is replaceable, if needed.

Sensors: Up to 30 external wireless sensors can be added to the WSG30 system. Available sensors include: room temperature, external temperature, ultra low temperature, humidity, dry contact, power failure, and water detection (zone and spot). These sensors are easy to install, and have a wireless range of up to 300'. Sensors can be powered by AA batteries or a separate power supply.

Configuring Sensors: WSG30 wireless sensors can be configured as either routers or end points. Routers provide redundant wireless paths from the sensors to the WSG30. End points send their readings directly to the WSG30 or through a router. Up to 7 sensors (within 300' of the WSG30) can be configured as end points without requiring a router. Adding more sensors to the system requires routers: one router for 8-15 sensors, two routers for 16-23 sensors, and three routers for 24-30 sensors. Sensors configured as routers can be used to bridge the gap between sensors that are more than 300' away (and out of range) from the WSG30.

Sensor Programming: Each sensor can be programmed to sample the monitored value (temperature, humidity, etc.) for one to five seconds. Based on the sampling rate, the sensor transmits its data to the WSG30 in varying intervals. For example, a one-second sampling rate is transmitted every 20 seconds, while a five-second sampling rate gets transmitted every 100 seconds. The sensor's battery life is estimated at between 10 months (at a one-second sampling interval) to up to 3 years (at a five-second sampling interval).
