Upgrade your computer audio experience

Peachtree makes it simple for you. You have a computer with lots of music files? The decco65 and a pair of quality speakers will take you the rest of the way to a genuine audiophile experience. See? Simple. But there's a lot happening behind the scenes.

We'll start with the big guns. The decco65, as you might guess from the name, boasts 65 watts per channel of pristine power. The power is clean and precise thanks to Class D solid-state amplifier modules, known for their extremely low distortion and cool-running energy efficiency. But clean power's just the tip of the decco65 iceberg.

Getting the most from your music files

Your computer's direct USB audio output connects to a custom-designed 24-bit/192kHz asynchronous USB input. In concert with the decco65's acclaimed ESS Sabre DAC, the original data is seamlessly processed to reveal every jitter-free musical detail in every digital file in your collection. Galvanic isolation on this circuit prevents electrical noise from contaminating the signal. And if the files you're playing are somewhat compressed, or if you're streaming low-data rate music directly from cloud-based services, the hybrid nature of the decco65 comes into play. A smooth, warm tube buffer can be switched on or off from the remote to take the harsh edges off of less-than-perfect digital sources.

"My first impression of the Peachtree decco65, according to my listening notes: Someone with a good ear has voiced this amp…. The decco65 had a distinctly tight, pacey bass register, while its treble range was believably crisp without being bright…. Peachtree Audio's decco65 is among the most recommendable affordable-perfectionist products I've had the pleasure of using."

Plays well with the rest of the class

The decco65 handles other sources as well. The DAC has 3 digital audio inputs (1 optical, 2 coaxial). The coaxial inputs will handle sample rates up to 192 kHz. And there's a stereo analog input waiting to connect to more traditional gear. If you want to stream music wirelessly from your iOS® device, consider adding an Apple TV to your setup — it will connect digitally to the 65 and give you the power to direct your playlist from anywhere within Wi-Fi® range.

Shh, audiophile at work

If your listening needs to be a bit more focused and private, the decco65's integrated headphone amplifier will provide even demanding high-performance headphones with a musical signal that exudes presence and clarity. When you plug them in, your music runs through the tube stage while the signal to the speakers is muted.

You might expect this much versatility to be complex or bulky, but check the picture above one more time. The controls are elegantly simple, the design sleek and compact.

Features

Class D Amplifier: The Peachtree Audio decco65 integrated amplifier's high performance Class D amplifier has the ability to drive 65 watts per channel into 8Ω and 95 watts per channel into 4Ω with a very natural sound. The decco65 has the sonic signature of a great A/B amp with the power efficiency of Class D. Its combination of low distortion, high bandwidth, and energy efficiency makes it the ideal partner to the decco65's digital front-end and hybrid tube preamp.

Tube Buffer: The Tube Buffer uses a stereo triode 6N1P to smooth the harsh digital edge found in poor recordings and compressed audio. It can be switched on or off from the remote control to match your preference at any given time. Its especially good for Pandora, MOG, Spotify and most Internet Radio listening. The decco65 features a front-panel tube windows which allows you to view the glow of the unit's tube.

ESS Sabre 9023 DAC: The ESS Sabre Digital to Analog Converter is widely recognized as the world's best DAC when dealing with hostile digital components, like computers and streamers. The ESS Sabre 9023 Digital to Analog Converter contains a multi-layer board with over 450 components and 11 regulated power supplies that work in unison to produce the Peachtree sonic signature. The ESS Sabre Dace's patented jitter reduction circuit re-clocks the digital signal before passing it through a high-resolution 24-bit/192kHz upsampling processor, perfect for computers, iPods, and most streaming or hard-drive based music servers because they typically have high levels of jitter (digital timing error between the source and the DAC). Jitter is all but eliminated (<3 picoseconds) leaving a beautiful, natural sound.

Compatible Audio Formats: The Peachtree Audio decco65 integrated amplifier supports various standard resolution and high resolution audio formats; such as MP3, WMA, AAC, AIFF, WAV, PCM, FLAC, and Apple Lossless.

Galvanic Isolation: Galvanic Isolation is typically reserved for more expensive DAC circuits. Galvanic isolation prevents electrical noise from entering the DAC board on all grounded digital inputs. Any contamination due to the switching power supply, multiple ground points, and high speed processing is isolated from the DAC so nothing but pure 1ʼs and 0ʼs reach the DAC circuit.

Headphone Amp: The Class A headphone amp in the decco65 switches the speakers off when your headphones are inserted, so even when a quiet environment is required, you can still fill your head with lush high-resolution music. The headphone output runs through the tube stage so you can enjoy that smooth tube sound in solitude.

Controls

Power/Standby Switch: The main power switch is located on the rear-panel of the decco65 integrated amplifier. Once the main power switch has been turned on, you can power on/off the integrated amplifier from the front power button or remote control.

Volume Control: The front-panel volume control is motorized from the remote control and has a button indicator to allow the user to see levels from a distance.

Input Select: The integrated amplifier features five front-panel input select buttons (USB, Coax1, Coax2, Opt, & Aux).

Remote Control: The Peachtree Audio decco65 includes an IR remote control for wireless operation of the integrated amplifier. There are also basic playback buttons which allow you to control Play/Pause, Skip Forward, & Skip Backward of your connected Apple iPod, iPhone, or iPad (requires optional dock, sold separately).

Connections

24-Bit/192kHz Asynchronous USB Input: The Peachtree decco65 is equipped with a USB (type-B) port to connect to your Windows PC or Mac computer. It is capable of supporting up to 24-bit/192kHz high-resolution audio and uses the latest in asynchronous communication. Asynchronous allows the decco65's's internal high-precision clock to control the flow of data coming from the computer. This method lowers incoming jitter so the ESS Sabre DAC has less timing errors to reclock. USB implementation is one of the more difficult tasks in the real world of computer audio.

Note: You will need to install the included CD software (XMOS Driver) download for 24-bit/192kHz playback on a Windows PC.

Digital Audio Inputs: The decco65 is equipped with one optical (toslink) and two coaxial (RCA) digital inputs for connecting external digital audio sources, such as a Blu-ray/DVD player, Sonos player, Sequeezebox, Apple TV, or Apple Airport Express. The unit's optical digital input will accept up to 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution audio, while the two coaxial digital input will accept up to 24-bit/192kHz.

Analog Audio Inputs: The Peachtree Audio decco65 contains a set of analog line-level RCA stereo inputs for connection to your SACD/CD player, AM/FM tuner, turntable (requires Phono preamp, sold separately).

Speaker Terminals: The Peachtree Audio decco65 Integrated Amp is fitted with four heavy-duty, gold-plated binding-post speaker terminals to connect your left and right speakers. The binding-post speaker terminals can accept bare wire (up to 10AWG), banana-plugs (single only), spade-connectors, and pin-connectors. The unit's binding-post speaker terminals are clearly marked red-positive and black-negative for proper polarity connections.

Pre-Out: The stereo RCA preamp-outputs allow you to use an external amplifier with the decco65; they also provide connections for a powered subwoofer.

  • Output Impedance:
  • Max Output: 7V rms/ 11.2V peak

Headphone Output: The Peachtree Audio decco65 utilizes a front-panel, 1/4" headphone input which mutes the speakers when headphones are plugged in.
