The Peachtree Audio deepblue fits on most tables and shelves
Wow. This box is surprisingly heavy for its size. Wonder what's in i — oh. The Peachtree Audio deepblue Bluetooth® music system. That sounds promising.
Hold on. We just listened. It sounds amazing.
Peachtree has a well-deserved reputation for building audio products of uncompromising quality and exceptional performance. Now they bring the same approach to a one-speaker solution for any room in your house: welcome to deepblue.
Primed to supercharge any music source you can stream via Bluetooth from your smartphone, tablet, or computer, the deepblue creates a big lush soundfield thanks to its powerful 240-watt, 5-channel amplifier and on-board digital signal processor. That soundfield is done justice by a complement of five drivers that would be at home in quite a few high-end stand-alone speakers. No apologies are made for this speaker's 16+ pounds; it's a matter of necessity to make this music system live up to the expectations of a Peachtree Audio product. It's solid (yet certainly easy to move from room to room) and built to deliver music with authority.
Pairing the Peachtree Audio deepblue with your smartphone takes just seconds
One of our favorite features is the bass +/- button, which enables you to tailor the bass response to your surroundings. This is a feature that many Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay® speakers simply don't have. And should you wish to use the deepblue as a speaker for other music sources — or if you would rather just bypass Bluetooth as a music delivery medium, the deepblue sports a 3.5mm stereo minijack input, so you can hook up legacy media players, CD players, or even a game console.
Because of this connectivity, you can enjoy your own music library, or streaming services like Pandora® Internet radio or MOG®, anywhere you've positioned the deepblue.
You'll know you've made the right choice if your friends keep asking you where you've hidden your stereo system. The deepblue certainly delivers performance like systems that are a good deal larger.
"Given the quality and performance of deepblue, I had guessed the price tag would be close to four figures. So imagine my surprise when I learned the actual price. I was pretty blown away. That's a lot of power, elegance, and capability for the money — coming from a manufacturer known for delivering exceptional sound."

Let me start by saying that I spent more time researching "WIRELESS BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS" than I've ever spent on any (Electronics Purchase)! I read hundreds of reviews on all of the current offerings in Portable Bluetooth speakers from "Bose,Sony,Klipsch and JBL"! I spent several hours doing in-store listening test with all 4 of these major brands that I listed! There was also a new product release from Marshall with there new "Marshall Stanmore" bluetooth speaker that was in the mix! All of these models fell within my price range! I am going to try and condense what I heard first hand in the Bose,Sony,Klipsch,JBL and the Marshall bluetooth speakers! They all produced very high quality audio at moderate volume levels! The Marshall Stanmore played very accurate bass and highs but the mids rolled off way to quick just as it did on the Klipsch KMC-3! Overall I would have to put the Marshall Stanmore in 2nd place with the Klipsch KMC-3 right behind it! Now for the Peachtree Audio Deepblue! I was fortunate enough to get the very last Deepblue in stock from Crutchfield Audio! All of the "Praise" that I read about on reviews regarding the Deepblue was "SPOT ON"! It was evident from the first listen that the Deepblue was in its "OWN CLASS" when compared to its competitor's! This speaker sounds as good as small high end systems easily in the $1000-1500. The mid range that was sorely lacking on all the other speakers mentioned is wonderful on the Deepblue! Stunning bass response!
Pros: 1.Incredible deep bass response 2.Power output is impressive 3.5 channel dedicated amplifier 4.Magical DSP system built into the Deepblue 5. Conservative but sleek look and design 6.Plays at incredibly high volumes with little or no distortion 7.Has a very balanced frequency response of 40htz-20 khtz!
Cons: 1. lacks the different audio source choices that other bluetooth speakers offer 2. Conservative styling and design
Very good product.... To be honest, I guess my expectations were too high after all 5 star ratings, but is does sound great....
Pros: Great sound
Cons: Bought it one day and it was discontiuned the next day...... I would have like to have known that ahead of time.. I may have waited to see the next model.
I bought the last one from Crutchfield 2 weeks ago. I have no clue when they will be in stock,or even if they are being produced anymore. They will probably be coming out with an updated version since they sold out.I would expect all the wifi extras next time around, may cost more. I would send Peachtree ,and Crutchfield an email inquiring on the the Deepblue. My neighbor has the Sonos play 5,side by side playing line in through dual headphone outputs off a lap top, playing Spotify premium 360-Kbps,the Deepblue owns the play-5 in every aspect of the audio realm, especially the bass. C-net`s review is way off on this, nothing harsh about the audio.I get the best sound with EQ flat in the middle, that guy was probably using a phone with the EQ colored,if it sounds bad you will notice the cheap phone audio.Thats not a test for a review, you need to feed the beast some line in amperage, and dynamic range un colored, then hear the magic. Good luck finding one....peace
Pros: Sounds spot on,clean, detailed, and suprisingly powerful..When properly fed it plays well will others
Cons: needs wifi capability, and volume level display
Absolutely the best sounding Bluetooth speaker for the price! Hi-Fi sound quality on a budget. The Deepblue amplifies any type of music with great accuracy.
Pros: Great at both low and high volumes!
Cons: Wish it was more portable with some type of rechargeable battery.
Until I've seen the reviews on the internet, I've never heard of the Deep Blue. The speaker is no where to be found to try out or compare, but here on Crutchfield (Peachtree didn't stock it either). So I trusted the few reviews read online and decided to take a chance on the highly recommended blue tooth speaker. I made sure I got one before it sold out. What a true Gem it is, I am so impressed by the sound, I can't stop listening to it!! They're right it's "The best $400 blue tooth speaker out there". I considered Bose Sounddock 10, Bowers & Wilkins A5 and the Klipsch KMC 3. I listened to them all, but the Deep Blue. I'm glad I waited because it provided the best sound with no distortion at full volume! The 60 day money back guarantee sealed the deal. The Bass is Phenomenal. The mids and vocals are very good to me. Whether you listen at low or high volumes, the sound is awesome. I am now a believer and the reviews read are valid and confirmed by my own ears. Easy set up. 1) Turn on the power button or remote power button, 2) Hold down the power button until the blue led in front flashes, 3) Turn on your blue tooth on your phone and scan for devices. and 4) Select Peachtree BT and you are good to go. Before I start I use the remote to maximize the volume on the Deep blue (Until it flashes) so that I can control the volume on my phone up to 30 feet away. That's the cool part about the blue tooth, I can change the songs or the volume wirelessly. I couldn't wait for Christmas!
Pros: Bass is fantastic. Remote is nice. No distortion at maximum volumes. The sound is great! Easy to use.
Cons: No controls for the bass on the unit if the remote is ever lost. The remote battery cover is a pain to remove.
The sound from the Deepblue is as good as it gets from a single box, bluetooth speaker. Highs are crisp and clear and the bass is amazing given its size. Depending on where it's positioned, the bass can actually be a bit too much (especially in corners), but the 4-step bass control easily adjusts to kick it down a notch when needed. It may not have all the bells and whistles and connectivity options, but if sounds quality is what matters most, I don't believe there's a better bluetooth speaker available.
Pros: High quality sound Amazing low end
I like the sound and the bass impressive for the size of the unit. But a bit disappointed with the power. The unit should've way louder the power rated of 240 watts, I don't think that it is near that power probably close to 40 or 50 watts rms but yet delivers very good sound quality and for the advertise 240 watts I find it some how deceiving the advertisement but other than that I like the unit and I'm keeping it.
Pros: The sound is very good, the bass or sub excellent, bluetooth very convenient
Cons: No way near the 240 watts advertise, lack of portability
Peachtree is an AWESOME Bluetooth speaker!! I have it set up in my garage and my neighbors thought I had a stereo system set up!! The deep base is unheard off for a speaker this size. Mid-range and highs are crystal clear.
Pros: Worth every penny!!
This is a Great Product, period.
Pros: Great Product, reasonable - fair price.
This is the best self power unit I ever own, I always had to upgrade the speakers in them because they just wasn't right, But. This one is right on the money , I didn't have to do anything to them it was right on the money when first turn them on it is perfect .It just keep getting deeper and sounding more powerful as time go on. On a scale 1-10 it is a mighty 10 !But I would give it a 20 if was made in USA.
Pros: You can match it for money compare to (B&W, BOSE,etc).
Cons: There is no cons!!
The device is amazing, it has lived up to everything the sales associate Shawn told us, it is well worth the price and the price was not that much, over all great device, great price and great service from the sales staff at the crutchfield store.
I tend to be a little picky about how my equipment sounds; it's a bit of a hobby for me and I've just reached the point where loudness for the sake of loudness just doesn't cut it. Yes, it's nice if it's loud, but if it sounds like crap, then what's the point? We were looking for something to put in the living room that looked nice and inconspicuous (my wife's requirement), that sounded good (my requirement) and wasn't over priced (both of our requirements). The Peachtree Deepblue nails it on all fronts. The design is simple making it very straight forward to use. It looks like something that belongs in a grown-ups house and not in a college dorm. There's no monstrous power brick hanging off of your outlet. And the sound quality is spot on; great bass response for its size, with crisp highs and robust midtones. You're not going to shake pictures off the walls with this unit, that's true. But you'll easily hear and enjoy the music in the next room while you're having dinner, which is exactly what we wanted. A very reasonable price for a top notch performer!
Pros: Great sound, simple to operate, good price
Cons: I feel like the angle of operation for the remote could have been a little better, but no major complaints here.
How do I put this? If you value great sound & a steal of a deal look no further. Get this machine....before Peachtree realizes the error they made in only charging a modest price for this piece of work!
Pros: Price, sound, ease of use, did I mention the sound!!!!
Cons: Could use extra inputs in both in & outs.
This is the best bluetooth speaker on the market - period. It is an amazing value for its asking price. It has gobs of power & will fill any room in your home with pleasing audio. I own a B&W A7 which is an Airplay speaker, not bluetooth. Last night I did a side-by-side comparison of these two speakers & came away totally impressed with the Peachtree Audio deepblue. The sound quality of the bluetooth deepblue was as good as the Airplay B&W A7 all the way through about 75% volume. The B&W has a "warmer" sound & is unperturbed at maximum volume. However, the deepblue wins at lower sound levels with a richer soundfield, displaying crisper midrange & highs; also, with the DSP, good bass is evident at lower sound levels (and the bass is adjustable; it's not adjustable on the B&W). At maximum volume, the deepblue has zero distortion but sounds a little "busy", like it's trying too hard. Remember that the deepblue is only half the price of the B&W! Also, a bluetooth speaker will work anywhere, whereas an Airplay speaker requires a wi-fi network. Also, there is no real loss in sound quality via the deepblue bluetooth signal vs. Airplay wi-fi (a true surprise). An advantage of the B&W is that you can set up multiple speakers & play them all at once on your network but this gets a little pricey. If you need just one 'mobile' (16 pounds & no carry handle), high quality wireless speaker then the Peachtree Audio deepblue is a no-brainer that you won't regret.
Pros: Outstanding quality, power for the price; a true value.
I pre-ordered this after reading some great reviews and have been enjoying it for a month now. I took a chance and boy did it pay off. It is the best speaker in this price range.
Pros: a) Beautiful and crisp sound even when streaming music online. b) Amazing clarity regardless of how high or low the volume is. c) Bass lovers are in for a treat. Your friends will start to feel like you are hiding a sub-woofer somewhere. If bass is not your thing you always have the option to lower it using the remote. d) Easy bluetooth connectivity with both pc and apple products. Very less lag and have had no issues from connecting from anywhere in the house (But then I have a small apartme
Cons: a) Weighing 16+ lbs portability may or may not be issue depending on how you use it. For me it sits near my workstation and I don't move it frequently.
I had been looking for a quality wireless speaker to use around the house and our pool area that wouldn't break the bank. I really wanted one that had portability too, i.e. rechargeable lithium battery. I was leaning towards the Jawbone Big Box when I ran into the review for the Deep Blue. It sounded so amazing that I gave it a try and have no regrets! Wow, the sound that this speaker produces is brilliant! The highs/lows and crispness heard with all types of music is great. My sons and I sat around for over an hour just playing songs off of our playlists just to hear how they sounded on the Deep Blue. It paired and worked well with all of our Apple products. The portability issue is not so big now as the sound quality trumped that requirement, plus plugging it up outside is not that big a deal with the bluetooth. I don't think that anyone will be disappointed with this purchase...having the Crutchfield Rewards made it even better! Highly recommend!
Pros: Great sound and price!
Cons: Not portable.
Peachtree Audio has set the bar so high that the best anyone else can do is just to try and equal it (good luck with that!) - I don't think it can be surpassed at anywhere near this price - DeepBlue is a marvel of audio engineering - an affordable audiophile quality bluetooth speaker system - you will spend hours & hours going thru your music library astounded at the sound produced from this small cabinet - it is everything they say it is & all that you could hope for - hear one - you'll own one
Pros: effectively replaces a small high quality system
Cons: like all good audio componenents - what you get out is only as good as what you put in
Bluetooth Music System: The Peachtree Audio Deepblue is a high performance Bluetooth music system which allows you to connect wirelessly to your Bluetooth-enabled Apple iPod touch/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, Blackberry, computer/laptop, or other device. The Peachtree Audio Deepblue supports Bluetooth (v2.1+EDR) A2DP/AVRCP which means you can transfer stored music and music apps from your Bluetooth-enabled device to the Deepblue music system. Bluetooth has a range of approximately 33' open air (distance will vary with walls and your device's capability).
Simple Pairing: Bluetooth is a point A to point B connection. That means no router or proprietary network with complex setup is needed. You can pair your Bluetooth-enabled device in less than five minutes with the Peachtree Audio Deepblue. After the initial pairing, your device will auto-pair to the Deepblue when you select its Bluetooth input.
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the Peachtree Audio Deepblue music system.
3-Way Speaker Design: Getting rich and clear sound from such a compact speaker required five custom designed drivers dedicated to bass, midrange, and highs to form a true three-way speaker system. Two 3" inverted dome aluminum mid-ranges and two 1" soft dome tweeters are placed in their own housing, isolated from the 6.5" bass driver, so you can hear every note and every word of your favorite track. Massive magnets and large voice coils are used to provide control and to handle large amounts of power. Materials optimal to the task were specified at each step of the design process.
240W/5Ch Amplifier: The Peachtree Audio Deepblue music system has a powerful, built-in 240-watt x 5-channel amplifier which delivers clean power with sound quality, deep bass, and volume output of a much larger traditional HiFi system.
Digital Signal Processing w/ Smart Volume: A sophisticated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) allowed Peachtree Audio to squeeze out every last ounce of performance, giving the Deepblue fullness and clarity. The Deepblue music system tracks the incoming music signal for its continuous and peak signals to provide clear distortion-free sound at any volume. The Digital Signal Processor adjusts frequency response for full sound at low volume settings and will activate compressors to lower dangerous peak signals when the music is being played at loud volumes to prevent clipping. This ensures great sound and reliable performance.
Bass Control: Out of the box, the Deepblue's bass is set at a level that achieves the best balance of bass output for most situations. You will find that bass output is greatly affected by walls and surfaces within close proximity to the Deepblue music system, especially if you place it in a corner which will boost bass. On the included remote, you'll find Bass +/- buttons which allow you to adjust Deepblue's bass for your room. Once set, Deepblue remembers your last setting so all you have to do is turn it on and press play.
IR Remote: The included IR remote control allows you to operate Power, Source, Volume, and Bass functions of the Deepblue music system. You can also control basic playback functions (Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track) of your paired Bluetooth-enabled device.
Auxiliary Input: The Peachtree Audio Deepblue is fitted with a 3.5mm auxiliary input and comes with a stereo minijack cable to connect your non-Bluetooth audio devices with a headphone jack output. Even a traditional audio component, like a CD player can be connected with a simple RCA-to-mini adaptor (sold separately).
AC Power: The Peachtree Audio Deepblue operates off of standard household current (100-240V~50/60Hz) using the supplied 6' AC power cord. To save power, the unit will automatically go into standby mode when the speaker system is idle for approximately 12 hours.
