About the Peachtree Audio T1

Dave Bar

High-res audio

Add a high-res USB connection to your home theater receiver or DAC

Want to play music files from your computer through your home theater receiver? Got a great-sounding DAC (digital-to-analog converter) without a USB input, or one that can't handle today's high-resolution digital downloads? Then check out Peachtree Audio's T1 USB-to-S/PDIF adapter. The T1 isn't a DAC; it's a precision-built component that takes a USB output from your PC and converts it into a pristine coaxial digital signal that you can easily plug into your favorite outboard DAC or home theater receiver. And because it allows your DAC to receive data streams up to 96kHz/24-bit resolution from your computer, you can enjoy truly high-end, better-than-CD audio quality.

Product highlights:

  • converts USB audio output from a computer to S/PDIF coaxial digital for connection to an outboard DAC or home theater receiver
  • accepts up to 96kHz/24-bit sampled audio files for playback of high-resolution music
  • galvanically isolated digital coaxial output minimizes noise
  • powered by host computer's USB port (no outboard power supply required)

  • Adaptive Mode USB: The T1 uses adaptive mode USB that relies on your computer to control the flow of data streaming from the USB port.

Hi Krissy, all my audio is 16 bit 44.1kz .All my prior pc's will play audio thru my Pioneer 921 vsk. They play out all connected speakers front pair, rear pair, center and subwoofer(powered (Klipsch). My Pioneer will play back everything connected to it = dvd b-ray even Sansa Fuse mp3 player..However even using the same analog Rca cable as I have used before the Dell Inspiron (with Realtech HD 5.1 sound card ) will not...Dell won't admit it is their sound card. My theory being by bypassing the Dell sound card I can be back in buisiness..Will this work ?

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: That unit will allow for high quality audio to be streamed from your PC to your surround sound system but the number of speakers that play will depend on the source that is playing and if it is encoded to play in stereo or in a surround sound setup. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.
