High-def for your ears
It's happened tons of times. You're watching a movie or TV show, and a character utters a crucial line that gets lost in the soundtrack mix. While your flat-panel HDTV makes it possible to see almost every wrinkle in an actor's skin, its tiny speakers put a real wrinkle in your ability to hear the dialogue and follow the story. If this sounds the least bit familiar, then the Energy Power Bar Elite may be just the ticket for you.
The system's slim sound bar features a dual 2-way speaker system designed to bring out the detail of voices and much more. Built-in Dolby® Digital decoding works together with Energy's 3D Surround Mode to simulate the effect of a traditional multi-channel home theater system, for a much more involving viewing experience. The sound bar can be wall-mounted using its rear keyhole slots, or you can use the included rubber feet to simply place it on your TV stand.
Easy setup with a wireless subwoofer
It's really not too complicated. The Energy Power Bar Elite comes with an optical cable to connect to your compatible TV, plus a stereo RCA cord for older televisions. The powered sub needs to be plugged into an outlet, but once the Power Bar and sub are turned on, they make their wireless connection automatically. You can even program the Power Bar to work with your TV remote's volume control if you prefer not to add the included remote to your collection.

Sound bar speakers: room-filling sound with less clutter
Add big sound to your TV without a roomful of speakers. Sound bars require minimal space and wiring, and their sleek designs complement today's flat-panel TVs. Most sound bars have their own built-in amplification, so you won't need to use a home theater receiver. Some models use advanced surround processing and carefully aimed speaker drivers to simulate the effects of a full home theater audio system.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
The bar works great. I had planned to install built in surround sound but renovation costs went over so had to do the energy sound bar instead. I'm glad I did. It was a great investment.
Pros: Great sound, easy to install
Great Sound Bar
I had been looking into a Klipsch unit previously. It fits my needs of providing accurate highs and mids, with a good subwoofer included. I didnt want to wire my whole space with speakers, so a soundbar was my way to go. I compared it to many Sony, Samsung, LG, Boston, and Polk units. This unit is by far better than any of those. The next option i would have also considered would have been the Harman Kardon unit at the same price.
Pros: Ease of programming other remotes to operate the unit. Digital Optical Cable and RCA Cable both included in the box. Great sound at the price.
Cons: Cant tell a big difference between normal and 3D modes.
What's in the box?
- Soundbar speaker (with 2 detachable speaker grilles attached)
- Wireless powered subwoofer
- AC power supply (with attached 6' DC cord)
- Two 69" AC power cords
- Remote control (CR2025 3V battery installed)
- 59" Optical digital cable
- 59" Stereo RCA cable
- 2 Rubber feet
- Wall-Mount Template
- Owner's Manual
- Quick Setup Guide

Overview: The Energy Power Bar Elite was developed to both significantly improve television and movie sound by simulating a multi-speaker surround sound system. It instantly upgrades your TV sound without requiring a separate receiver and multiple speakers. The Energy Power Bar Elite consists of a self-powered soundbar speaker and a 10" wireless powered subwoofer. The system features an elegant black satin finish to blend in with your TV and decor.
Soundbar w/ CSM (Convergent Source Module) Technology: The Energy Power Bar Elite soundbar speaker features a built-in 2ch amplifier and two-way speaker design. There are two 0.75" soft-dome tweeters mated to four 3" midbass IMG (injected molded graphite) drivers for highly detailed, high output sound for almost any size room. The drivers are aligned in the exclusive Energy Convergent Source Module (CSM); meaning the tweeter and woofer are placed in close proximity and act as a single source to provide wide dispersion, low distortion, and a flat frequency response.
Wireless Powered Subwoofer: The Energy Power Bar Elite comes with a wireless powered subwoofer which features a built-in amplifier, 10" side-firing composite woofer, and bass-reflex (ported) enclosure for high-efficient bass. The advanced 2.4 GHz wireless technology automatically connects the powered subwoofer and self-powered soundbar speaker together. Because the powered subwoofer is wireless and not restricted by an audio cable, you can place the powered sub almost anywhere in the room (up to 50' from the soundbar speaker). The wireless powered sub has a separate volume control (on the rear-panel) from the soundbar speaker so you can dial in the amount of bass you want to hear.
Virtual Surround Sound: The built-in Dolby Digital Decoder allows the soundbar to automatically reproduce detailed, high-quality sound no matter what format of sound is coming from the TV's output. The 3D Surround Mode adds spaciousness to the sound, simulating the effect of having multiple speakers surrounding you.
Analog & Digital Connection: The soundbar speaker is designed to quickly connect to your TV with either an analog (RCA) or digital (optical) connection. An included digital optical cable connects to your TV's digital output and then to the back of the soundbar speaker. For TV's without an optical audio output, there is a 2-channel RCA analog input and cable included to connect to it.
Remote Control: The remote control learning feature allows the system to function via your existing TV remote, or you have the option of using the included IR wireless remote control. You can control Source, Volume Up/Down, and Mute.
Mounting Options: The soundbar speaker can be positioned on a shelf or stand using the supplied rubber feet. It can also be wall-mounted using its dual keyhole slots and included easy-to-use template. The keyhole spacing is 28.125". The 2.5" soundbar depth provides for an aesthetic match to either a wall-mounted or table-top TV.
Power Requirements: Both the soundbar speaker and powered subwoofer must be plugged in an AC outlet using the included AC power supply and AC power cords.
Auto Standby: The soundbar speaker and the powered subwoofer will automatically go into a standby or "sleep" mode if they do not receive an audio signal from your TV, Satellite, or Cable Box for approximately 10 minutes.
