3-Way Speaker: The Energy Veritas-series V-6.3 speaker is a
floor-standing speaker with two 6.5" Kevlar cone woofers and a 5.25"
midrange with Ribbed Elliptical
Surrounds, and a 1" aluminum dome tweeter with a neodymium motor and heatsink.
Energy Sound Principles: All Energy brand loudspeakers are
developed with three sound principles in mind:
- Flat On-Axis Frequency Response With Wide Bandwidth: Speakers
should reproduce the entire audio range in a uniform
manner. By ensuring that no one frequency dominates any other, the Energy ensures that every note is the way it was intended to
be, and the sound is as natural as possible.
- Wide and Constant Dispersion: The speaker should provide an even pattern sound at all its frequencies in all
directions throughout the room.
- Low Distortion Resonance: No speaker system is distortion- or
resonance-free, but Energy speakers have achieved a
significantly lower distortion level, a clearly audible improvement.
Convergent Source Module: The Convergent Source Module (CSM)
technology is the heart of the V-6.3 speaker. The tweeter and midrange are
placed in close proximity and act as a single source to provide wide dispersion,
low distortion, and amazing performance.
Bass Reflex Cabinet: The Energy Veritas-series V-6.3 has a rear-vented
bass reflex enclosure, with an attractive, high gloss piano rosenut finish. The
black cloth grille attaches to the speaker magnetically.
Cabinet Finish: The Energy Veritas speakers feature high
quality, real wood veneer cabinets, coated with multiple layers of high quality
piano paint. Each layer is sanded before the next one is added. Each cabinet is
hand-polished, and fully inspected for imperfections.
Port Plugs: Two foam rubber port plugs are included. If the bass
response is overpowering, the plugs can be inserted into the rear-firing ports
to reduce the amount of base output.
Speaker Terminals: The V-6.3 is equipped with two pairs of nickel-plated binding post
terminals for connecting the speaker wire. The terminals will accept bare wire,
spade lugs, pin connectors, and single banana plugs. The terminals are spaced
too far apart for dual banana plugs. The terminals are coupled together with a
nickel-plated metal strip. If you choose to "bi-wire" the speakers, the strips
can be removed and you can separately wire the low and high drivers.
Amplifier Requirements: The Energy Veritas-series V-6.3 is designed to operate on a wide range of A/V receivers
amplifiers with a power rating of 20 to 250 watts continuous per channel. The recommended
bass management setting for the speaker is "large."
Speaker Setup: The V-6.3 tower speakers include a base
plinth that attaches to the bottom of the speaker (with 4 supplied bolts) for
optimal stability. For best acoustic performance, the spike feet should be used.
On hard floors, the supplied spike receiver cups may be used. The spikes add up
to 1-1/2" to the overall height of the speaker. If it is not practical to use
the spikes, the 4 threaded rubber bumper feet can be used (adding approximately
7/16" in height).
