I was finally able to find "Black-Oxide Steel Male-Female Hex Thread Adapter1/4"-20 to M5 x 0.8 mm Thread Size" part number 91649A134 online at McMaster-Carr
art  Aug 22, 2021

I mounted them on a concrete wall, so all I needed was two expansions and 1-1/2 inch screws.

I would need to know the weight of these speakers.
cornelius  Feb 25, 2021
A
I'm not sure I have def tech speakers. You would have to have the threads on back of speakers to use them.

Q
Will these work for Denon Home 150?
riley  Sep 18, 2020
1 answer
A
Yes, depending how you are going to mount it. If you are going to mount it on drywall with no stud behind it I would suggest using the type of wall anchor with the two arms that spring out behind the drywall for better support. Denon Home 150 weight: 3.75 lbs. Definitive Technology ProMount 90 weight capacity 10 lbs.when mounted to a stud.

Will these work with the SR9080 or 9040?
harvey  May 12, 2020

No. The SR9080 has a keyhole hanger for use with a nail. Screw mounts will not work.

Does this bracket work for the center speaker on the pro 600 model and if so how many brackets do u need all together for the 4 satellites and center speaker?

I Had to use 2 for center speaker
anthony j  Apr 08, 2019

2 for center and 1 for each satellite. This mount holds my outdoor Klipsch AW650, but I needed to make custom metal connector. Great stuff

Sorry don't know,,,,,, I'm using them on a pair of GemsXL.........

I'm sorry but i haven't installed them yet. they are sitting on my shelf still.
timothy  Apr 07, 2019
A
I haven't mounted mine yet, they should be installed 4/11, but it looks like they will. You will need two for the center channel and one for each of the satellite speakers. If you order quantity three (boxes/pairs) you will have enough.
roger v  Apr 07, 2019
A
Yes you need 2 brackets for the center.

Q
I bought the white version of these, and I want to match the color of the screw heads (or paint them to match) the bracket. What color white paint will match?
william  Aug 16, 2018

A
I bought the black version of these, so, can't answer directly. However, it has been my experience that Home Depot (and other paint stores) can fairly easily color match you stuff if you just bring in a sample to them. Good Luck!
scott  Aug 16, 2018
A
Your best option (imo) would be to take the white bracket to a store's paint department and match the bracket to a paint swatch and paint the screws.

Q
What is the width and height of the mounting plate? My mounting space is only 2 1/4" wide.
darren  Jan 19, 2017

A
I looked at mine this morning. It is impossible to measure at the middle while it is on the wall because of the protruding piece. The middle is wider than the ends because it is really a hexagon, not a rectangle. The narrow width on the ends is just 2" but my guess is that the middle is exactly 2 1/4" so your space may be a teensy bit tight. Also, you need some room for the speaker itself since the attachment piece is not terribly big. I like the mount because it is very discreet for a small speaker, but sounds as if it will be a tight fit.

Not understanding how the pro mount 90 mounts to the in-wall/plate. The holes for the speaker mounts don't line up with the wall plate holes? Am i missing something here? HELP?
chris  Dec 18, 2016
2 answers
A
Your speakers will need to accept the 1/4-20 bolt sticking out from the knob of the ball, then rest of the mount/bracket gets attached to the wall with lag bolts, or other appropriate means depending on your specific situation. You will need to mount to the wall, and then attach the speakers to ball, then insert the ball to the mount/brackets, then position the speakers appropriately, and finally tighten down the ball.
scott  Aug 16, 2018
A
I didn't mount mine to a wall plate. I screwed the bracket straight to the wall

Q
Will the ProMount 90 also work for ProCinema 600 speakers? Does anyone have a picture of what they look like on the wall next to Procinema 600 speakers? Trying to find the best mounts for my new home. Just don't want to buy the wrong ones. Thanks
david  Jan 27, 2015

A
I checked a picture of the PRO 600, and it appears to accept a standard bolt, the same one as the Pro 90 mount uses. The PRO 90 mount can easily handle the weight of the PRO 600. My educated guess is that the PRO 90 mount will work just fine on the PRO 600, since they are very similar speakers.
neal  May 07, 2016
A
ProMount 90 construction is strong and solid, and hold speakers of double the weight of the ones in Procinema 600 speakers. They are very easy to install and angulate if needed. Excellent product.

I installed definitive bipolar speakers. They look good on the wall with these mounts . I don't know about pro cinema speakers .

Q
I'd like to get 4 of these for ceiling mount application. Are these good mounts to use for them hanging from the ceiling? Anyone doing this?
ed  Dec 21, 2013

A
I have used these to 'hang' Definitive Technology Pro1000 monitors from the ceiling. I did throw away to mounting screws and went to Home Deopt and purchased a package of self-drilling drywall anchors with 100 lb capacity. A little overkill, but better safe than sorry.
james  Dec 26, 2013
A
These holders are excellent for ceiling speakers. I used them to hold two light weight Def Tech speakers and two old heavy weight speakers and both has work fine. They are very strong and vary easy to install at the same time. Recom: for heavy weight speakers use slightly divergent drilling for expansions and screws.

Great, I ordered 4. I'm hanging PM-1000s with these mounts. They're supposed to be speced out for their weight. Thank you for your response.

Great mounts. Depends on weight of speakers
michael  Dec 21, 2013
A
Yes, I mounted two speakers inside a Stickey mission oak cabinet. Plenty of angle adjustment. Just make sure you're not too tight in a corner to mount the plate or tighten the ball clamp.
michael  Dec 21, 2013
A
Ed, I have two of these mounts mounted on a wall secured to wall studs tilted toward the T.V with the Mythos Gem speakers which weigh about 4.5 pounds. Depending on what speakers you plan on using, I would think they would work very well in a ceiling mount application.
stanley  Dec 21, 2013
A
Yeah, that's my question. Are they a practical application for what I'm trying to use them for? I have no doubt they're sturdy enough, but I'm not sure they will be long enough to allow the articulation. I'm looking for alternative mounts also, so if you know of any others out there, please let me know. Thank you for your response, Christopher.
ed  Dec 21, 2013
A
I attached mine to the wall, with that being said they are very sturdy mounts and should have no problems with a ceiling installation through a stud. The only issue may be the articulation possible.

Q
Will these brackets work with the Yamaha Natural Sound outdoor speakers that I just bought?
peter  Jun 17, 2016
1 answer
A
Those will not work with the Yamaha Natural Sound NS-AW150 outdoor speakers that we sell. Those speakers need mounts that attach to the sides on it's back and that mount then attaches to the wall. Feel free to contact an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 for a personal recommendation on speakers and mounts. My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101
