Excellant quality, easy to mount and made of metal. Totally happy.
Pros: Well made, good design.
Nice mounts, easy to install, color match with the speaker is good too.
Pros: Color, easy of install, quick shipping
Cons: None, so far
Easy to install (use an impact drill) and a great value.
Pros: Very easy to install
These mounts were easy to install and they make the speaker look awesome.
Cons: Hard to get each mount even, you need a level.
A perfect solution to a clean concrete wall. Just a few minutes and the speaker were perfectly aligned and mounted. The construction if strong to hold a 20 pound speaker. They are low profile and with just 2.5 inches clearance from the wall is perfect for mid size bookshelf.
Pros: Easy to mount and set up.
Cons: No screws are included
Great wall mounts that blow the cheap plastic versions many big box stores carry out of the water. These are steel mounts that work great with the Definitive bookshelf speakers I had already purchased. Just a note that there is a cord pass through in the back of this mount that I was unaware of when I purchased them and I had already installed a cord pass through in the wall. Great value for the price!
Pros: Sturdy Easy to Install Adjustable Speaker Angles
Cons: Unaware of cord pass through when ordering
Very easy to install. The speakers are easy to attach, easy to adjust and when it came time to paint the room it was easy to remove the speaker, paint and put them back up. The bracket support my speakers in either a horizontal or vertical position equally well.
Pros: ease of attaching and adjusting the speaker
Great mount and easy to install
Pros: Easy to mount and adjust
Good mounts & east to install. We used them with the Definitive 600 package and the white color matches perfectly for a seamless look.
Pros: Ease of install
Cons: No mounting hardware
Great minimalistic design, easy to install, do its job for a great price. You can use it on the wall or cealling, adjust where you want the speakers to face. I use them for my pair of sonos 1.
Pros: Design, ease of use, price
love em they mounted very easy and and they are really small so almost looks like my speakers are just floating there
Pros: small easy to mount
Nice brackets, and the speakers look great mounted! Easy to install
Pros: Easy to install
I purchased these along with the Def Tech ProMonitor 1000. They do the job nicely of holding the speaker in place. I read reviews where ppl were having problems with the mounts slipping. I have not had any problems, just have to make sure u really crank down on it. The only reason I cant give it 5stars is bc they dont include the mounting hardware. All that is in the box is the two mounts and an allen wrench. Usually, any type of mounts includes screws to mount it on the wall but not this one. It wasn't that big of deal bc I had screws to fit it but it still could have be potentially annoying had I needed to go buy some.
Pros: Small, stays in place, swivels
Cons: No screws to mount to the wall
Most wall mounts use the same standard for the speaker attachment. I found most of the wall mounts are within a couple of dollars of each other. Definitive sells theirs by the pair where others sell them individually. I know from prior reviews to have my own wall screws and wall plugs. Mounting this product wasn't to hard except for having to work from a ladder. The hardest part was using the allen-wrench to attach the ball (with speaker) to the wall mount. I learned to tighten the bolt as much as possible with the allen-wrench then attach the speaker. I attached Definitive Tech 600 speakers that are heavy for their size. The mounts hold these speakers without a problem.
Pros: They hold the speakers in position with no problem.
Cons: The only con is the allen-wrench bolt that is used to attach the ball part (with the speaker) to the wall part. The difficulty is having to work from a ladder using both hands and fighting to turn the allen-wrench against the wall at the same time. All of the wall mounts (except the lowest priced ones) use an allen-wrench bolt of some kind to attach the speaker part to the wall/ceiling part. So this "con" part could apply to most of the wall/ceiling mounts and not just this product.
They work but they are ugly. Far too big. I put a digital camera with big lens on a ball socket type head thats probably stronger, half the weight and far neater. These look like something you would use in a commercial environment not the home. Hat to say it but the Bose Jewel mount is the standard.
Cons: Big, Ugly.
Very sturdy and easy to use-mounted Procinema 800s high on wall .
Pros: Easy, sturdy
Cons: Use your own screws
I bought these for a set of ProMonitor 1000. The speakers are mounted high and on an angle. If you mount your speaker straight these are fine. The bolt in the pivot slips and the speaker will spin. Cructhfield sent my another set and the same. they wont hold and they spun. Either I send them back again and try another set or a new different kind.
Pros: Straight on the wall they are fine
Cons: Funny angles they slip.Too high price.
These mounts work great. Easy to install and use.
Pros: Easy installation.
Was exactly what I was looking for to mount speakers in the corner of a room.
Pros: What quick and easy to use.
This speaker mount does exactly what it's supposed to. Attach my DT speakers to the wall.
Pros: Attached easily and held tight
The mounts worked great. I replaced some older mounts that were difficult to adjust. These were simple to install and much easier to adjust. They are very sturdy and well worth the money.
Pros: Sturdy construction, easily adjustable, simple to install
This mount is a great design. Note you get two in the box. I needed two for a Def Tech Pro Center 2000 install. The design is good. There are really two parts: a hard rubberish ball with stud, the mount with clamping features. The Pro Center 2000 has two mounting areas so i was worried initially about lining these up on the wall perfectly. No issue here. You actually can remove the ball/stud from the mount and install that on the speaker. Then install the rest of the mount on the wall to the best of your ability. Then just lift the speaker up, insert the balls in the clamps and tightem em down. Magic. Def Tech should spend more time advertising these. All in all, these are well designed mounts that can handle some weight. Worth the $50.
These are small, compact and sleek mounts. They are not overbearing and they work great.
Pros: Easy to install and use
Cons: Did not come with mounting screws. You will need to buy those extra - depending on how you intend to mount these.
Used these to wall mount some Pro 1000s. They are sturdy, and do the job, but after mounting a few other speakers with the PinPoint AM20 mounts, the lack of hardware (screws), and the quality of the product (noticable mold depressions), I wish I would have just orderd two more of the AM20s. As a matter of fact, I used the extra screws from the AM20s, to secure these ProMount 90s.
Cons: no mounting screws, finish quality
An excellent mount for my Pro cinema 800's. A solid and heavy weight bracket that when mounted properly provides a secure, stylish finish to wall mounted speakers.
Pros: A solid mount that supports the weight of the Pro Cinema 800's, Fully adjustable to just about any angle.
Mount worked perfectly. Mounted my center XTR60 without a hitch. Works extremely well.
Pros: Easy to install and works perfectly.
Cons: Not one thing
Great mount. Made with metal that will hold up. The attachment to the speaker is secure and I don't have to worry about my new speakers falling. The swivel allows for any angle option.
Pros: Great mount, great angle options. I ordered too many because I didn't read thoroughly, they come in pairs. Crutchfield has great customer service that made the return a breeze.
Cons: I ordered too many because I didn't read thoroughly, they come in pairs.
good solid mounts.
Pros: Solid as a rock when mounted on a stud
I now have 12 of these Definitive Technology ProMount 90's in white installed in my house, some into drywall, using screw-type anchors and some into studs, all using screws with white heads. The mounts are superior, both esthetically and functionally and, I believe, worth their cost.
Pros: The perfect mounts for my Definitive Technology ProCenter 1000 and ProMonitor 800 and 1000 speakers!
These mounts would be great if not for a critical flaw in their manufacture. Although the casting itself is rock solid, the threaded rod going into the swivel ball loosens and causes the speaker to laterally rotate in the mount. At first I thought the clamp wasn't tightened sufficiently. However, upon closer examination, I found that the rod going into the hard plastic ball had partially broken loose from whatever method was used to bond it internally. I now have lateral play on my speaker which causes it to move sideways about an inch in either direction. I'm hoping it won't get worse. I called Definitive Technology and explained the problem. Of course that had never heard of it happening before. They agree to send replacement swivel balls immediately. But when you consider how top heavy the Pro-Monitoritor 1000s are, and how the threaded fastener engages the bottom of the speaker, it is no stretch of the imagination to say that all this force is being transmitted entirely through the rod into the swivel ball. The slightest touch on the mounted speaker is enough to cause the rod to break loose from its internal bond with the ball. I had hoped there might have been an interlocking device inside the ball to provide a solid mechanical restraint, but apparently, the rod goes straight into the ball with no sort of interlock.
I have been using these brackets for 25 years. The design is simple and clean. They adjust up/down and side-to-side (sort of) and they are very secure. I would recommend these to anyone who seeks an unassuming but solid wall bracket. All necessary hardware was included.
Pros: * Well Designed * Well Built
Cons: The price
Strong wall mount. Simple and easy to install. The mounting bracket has a center hole (not shown on photos or described in literature) that can be used to feed speaker wire through it to conceal the speaker wire feed. Looks great in our room.
Pros: Simple. Strong.
Having gotten my Definitive 800 speakers last Christmas and jamming all the front speakers, left, right and center, on a TV cabinet, I decided to try mounting them on the wall behind the TV with the ProMount 90s. WOW! What a difference in sound quality! Were it not for the mounts I don't know how I could have accomplished this. I also have smaller rear speakers connected by Rocketfish which now seem to have come alive! I turned to a nature TV program and my dog went crazy looking for the creature behind us! Not being able find the critter, he ran into another room. Of course for the front speakers I had all that monster cable showing over the door and window frame and up in the corner. So I went to Lowe's and found really neat white plastic triangular sleeves for over the door and along the side of the window and was pleased that all the cables disappeared. The ProMounts have optimized my sound system! I would recommend them for anyone!
Pros: Optimized my sound system.
Cons: Speaker direction adjustment is more difficult for those of us with older hands and fingers, so pick the optimum direction when you install.
Very easy to assemble... they are robust & sturdy to hold Definitive Technology speaker series or anything equivalent in size.
These are great brackets. It holds my Def 1000s like a champ. Very easy to adjust in any direction. If going into drywall with no stud behind go to the hardware store and buy springload brackets. They will counter the weight behind the wall so the speakers wont rip out the drywall.
Beautiful, easy to install
All metal construction, mounts solidly to the wall, has good range of adjustment, and is easy to lock down. Replaced ProMount 80's with this mount, which is a much better choice. I use the mount for ProMonitor 1000 speakers (7 lbs).
Pros: Solid mount, good range of adjustment, easy to lock down.
Fantastic speaker mount. A little pricy but you really get the quality you pay for with these. Highly recommend.
Pros: Work as described.
Clean design, well made, and very strong. The design allows the speaker wire to come directly through the bracket for a neat appearance.I mounted the speakers/ProMounts on drywall with 90lb Driller Toggles and on the wood frame surrounding a 42 inch flat screen using black pocket hole screws. Did not use boxes just holes in the wood/wallboard for the wires.
I purchased a set of speaker wall mounts from my local home improvement wearhouse. They were suppose to hold 10lb speakers. Ha! Idon't think so. They sag and feel cheap so I started looking for a better pair at Crutchfield.com. I found the Definitive Technology brand. Seeing how I've been an audiofile for years I know that Definitive Tech products are very good. I bought the Pro Mount 90s. They say they will hold 10lbs like the other brand but they were wrong. The Pro Mount 90s will hold way more. I installed my Polk OWM5s (they way 6lbs) and they are rock solid. Love the strength, looks and adjustability.
These mounts work great. At first glance, I was not sure that they would support the heavy speakes. But once installed they work as advertised and look very stylish, due to the high gloss cermic material. They are also very easy to adjust, in regards to the speaker direction.
Great brackets wasn't sure on weight so decided go with this product and am very pleased
These mounts are awesome. It literally took me minutes to install them-and the ball joint lets you position them a million ways. Don't buy anything else!
Great mounts. Holds very well and extremely easy on the eyes. Holding ProMonitor 800's.
I broke one of my original Energy wall mounts for my home theater system. I looked on line and found the ProMount 90 at Crutchfields, so I orderd a set. I had them installed within 30 minutes of arriving. Unlike the Energy OEM mounts, the ProMounts were very easy to install. And unlike the Energy OEM mounts they are ROCK SOLID on the wall! I HIGHLY recommend these mounts!!
It would have been nice if there were black covers for the mounting holes or painted mounting screws. Uniform color of the hardware out of the box would be more aesthetically pleasing and convenient. However, a little black spray paint cured all. The mounts function very well.
I've used other mounts that look similar from the picture, but these exceeded my expectations. The ball that provide the swivel mount is actually made of a material like a golf ball, so you don't end up scratching the white paint off of a metal ball. It makes repositioning very easy (although you HAVE to loosen the set screw). When you tighten the screw (it comes with the allen wrench for it) it is locked down solid, and the hard rubber ball provides some vibration absorption for the speaker. I wasn't sure at first, but after seeing it hands-on, this speaker mount is worth the money.
These are great little wall-mount brackets that work not only for DT speakers (i.e., Mythos Gem) but work spot on with Klipsch Icon X Series Bookshelf speakers. They say the max weight for ProMount 90's is 10 lbs. The speakers that I bought to use with these clock in at far less. I am extremely pleased and recommend these whole-heartedly. Crutchfield's excellent shipping and service is second to none.

Needed to mount ProCinema 600's [ Albert Dec 19, 2015 ]
ProMount 90 construction is strong and solid, and hold speakers of double the weight of the ones in Procinema 600 speakers. They are very easy to install and angulate if needed. Excellent product. [ JOSE A Jan 29, 2015 ]
I installed definitive bipolar speakers. They look good on the wall with these mounts . I don't know about pro cinema speakers . [ HAR Jan 28, 2015 ]
I have used these to 'hang' Definitive Technology Pro1000 monitors from the ceiling. I did throw away to mounting screws and went to Home Deopt and purchased a package of self-drilling drywall anchors with 100 lb capacity. A little overkill, but better safe than sorry. [ JAMES Dec 26, 2013 ]
These holders are excellent for ceiling speakers. I used them to hold two light weight Def Tech speakers and two old heavy weight speakers and both has work fine. They are very strong and vary easy to install at the same time. Recom: for heavy weight speakers use slightly divergent drilling for expansions and screws. [ JOSE A Dec 22, 2013 ]
Great, I ordered 4. I'm hanging PM-1000s with these mounts. They're supposed to be speced out for their weight. Thank you for your response. [ Ed Dec 22, 2013 ]

Great mounts. Depends on weight of speakers [ MICHAEL T Dec 21, 2013 ]
Yes, I mounted two speakers inside a Stickey mission oak cabinet. Plenty of angle adjustment. Just make sure you're not too tight in a corner to mount the plate or tighten the ball clamp. [ MICHAEL Dec 21, 2013 ]
Ed, I have two of these mounts mounted on a wall secured to wall studs tilted toward the T.V with the Mythos Gem speakers which weigh about 4.5 pounds. Depending on what speakers you plan on using, I would think they would work very well in a ceiling mount application. [ STANLEY Dec 21, 2013 ]
Yeah, that's my question. Are they a practical application for what I'm trying to use them for? I have no doubt they're sturdy enough, but I'm not sure they will be long enough to allow the articulation. I'm looking for alternative mounts also, so if you know of any others out there, please let me know. Thank you for your response, Christopher. [ Ed Dec 21, 2013 ]
I attached mine to the wall, with that being said they are very sturdy mounts and should have no problems with a ceiling installation through a stud. The only issue may be the articulation possible. [ CHRISTOPHER Dec 21, 2013 ]
I don't know how much your speaker weighs and if you can use a single 1/4 #20 input . [ William Jun 22, 2015 ]
