Pros: Look good and work well with speakers
Excellent stands to match Pro Monitor 800's. Great build quality and aesthetically pleasing. I see some negative reviews and wonder why? It looks exactly as depicted on the website. They were heavier/better quality than anticipated and the speakers mount perfectly. Matched with Marantz 5010 & SSA3 - generates an awesome 5.1 setup with the look of a soundbar.
Pros: Ease of setup, quality build/materials, matches perfectly with speakers.
Easy to assemble. Sturdy. 14 gauge wire fit easily inside the pole.
Thses are practical speaker stands for the DefTech ProLine Cinema 600 speaker system. Assembly was easy, they look good and serve their purpose. You can hide the wires inside of them. They are expensive for what they are. Not much else to say...
Great stands for our Definitive speakers. They fit nicely in the corners so you don't see the speakers like you would with bulky stands. They are heavy enough you feel that your speakers will not fall over (ours are on carpet and are steady).
Pros: Sturdy and sleek style. Perfect height for our speakers to give the surround sound.
Not cheap, but they are perfect for my Pro Cinema 600 speakers. Very unobtrusive, easy to put together, and very sturdy. I love and highly recommend them.
Pros: small, easy to put together
I have purchased from Crutchfield before.very helpful people.good service.i have the def.tech.pro minitor 600 speaker system.that is why I purchased the stand.very solid stand.does a good job.thank you
I previously bought a pair of speaker stands from and electronic store and ALL of the welded nuts were already stripped out, I was not a happy camper!! Then I bought the Definitive Technology ProStand 600/800 for my Pro Monitor 600 speakers from this site and they are exactly what I was looking for. Perfect height and easy set up
Pros: Cable hiders within post, solid and sturdy, Nice looking
I bought two of these speaker stands for the right & left surround channels in my 7.1 surround system. They hold the DefTech Pro Monitor 800's securely and look attractive next to the media cabinet.
Pros: Nice looking, easy to assemble. Work perfectly with the DefTech Pro Monitor 800's.
perfect complement to pro 800 speakers from def tech. well made, unobtrusive, solid. places speakers at ear level, well worth the $.
Pros: perfect for pro 800's.
Great speaker stands. Well-constructed from metal, fit the Def-Tech speakers like a glove, easy to assemble, and surprisingly stable. A little more expensive, but worth it.
The stands are sturdy and well made. (sturdy until my 2 year old pulls on them) I use these stands for my 800 series and no complaints.
Pros: Sturdy, nice look
Returned these, they were very crude and in my opinion ugly. Too expensive for the quality
These matched DT stands for the Pro Cinema 800 are well made, easily assembled, and provide the needed support for the speakers and flexibility of placement that one would expect. Wiring is easily routed through the mounting pole. These stands place the speakers at the desired height for listening, and compliment the other black metal and glass end tables and chrome and smoked glass component/TV stand that we have in the media room. Using the optional carpet spikes, the speakers occassionally appear to be slightly listing to one side or the other, but have proven to be stable and easily realigned. Good investment with this speaker system.
Compatibility: The Definitive Technology ProStand 600/800s are perfectly matched speaker stands for the Definitive Technology ProMonitor 600 and ProMonitor 800 series speakers. They can also be used for other brands of satellite loudspeakers which feature a 1/4-20 threaded insert and weigh up to 6 lbs.
Note: The ProStand 600/800 speaker stands are packaged in pairs.
Construction: The ProStand 600/800 speaker stands feature sturdy all metal construction and are available in a black or white finish.
Assembly: The Definitive Technology ProStand 600/800s will need to be assembled using the supplied hardware. Each stand consists of a bottom base, upright post, and top-plate.
Installation: Your Definitive Technology ProMonitor 600 or 800 series speakers mount to the stand's top-plate using the supplied 1/4-20 x 1/2" long bolts.
Note: The integrated pedestal foot on the ProMonitor 600 and ProMonitor 800 speakers will need to be removed before installing the speakers on the stand.
Wire-Management: The ProStand 600/800 speaker stands feature hollow posts and wire clips to help hide and manage your speaker wire.
Adjustable Feet: The ProStand 600/800 speaker stands come with carpet spikes and rubber glides for your hardwood floors. The carpet spikes and rubber glides screw into the base of the stand so you can adjust the level of each foot in case you have uneven floors.

High quality [ Martin Feb 17, 2016 ]
Hi Thomas. The Monitor 80 series seems to be a bit bigger in size than my current definitive technology 600 series speakers. As long as the 80 series has a screw option underneath the speaker it should work. [ FERNANDO Aug 22, 2015 ]

as far as I know they will.in the info section for the speaker it lists the 600 and the 800 [ ROGER L Aug 19, 2015 ]
On each post there are two openings, one near the bottom and one near the top, for the cable to pass through. Each opening is 1" H x .5" wide. [ Michelle Sep 24, 2014 ]
I have pro moniter speakers and some heavy wire.it goes through the stand ok. [ ROGER L Sep 24, 2014 ]
Don't know----as I'm not using them for that purpose. [ JAMES D Sep 24, 2014 ]
I am using a 14 Gauge speaker wire and had no problem at all running the cable through the tube on the Pro Stand. It can handle a pretty thick wire. You might need to do a little digging to get the wire out when threading from the top to the bottom but I found that a flathead screwdriver (small) placed in the hole at an angle allowed the wire to just travel up the ramp (screwdriver head) and right out of the bottom hole. [ MARK Sep 24, 2014 ]
Yes. I used monster high definition audio cable. Plenty of space. Opening on bottom and top of post are wide open. [ FERNANDO Sep 24, 2014 ]
Vizio specializes in lower end tv's and sells some center channel and I guess now satellite speakers..definitive technology offers high end speakers and I used high end very thick audio quest speaker cables to my definitive speakers from my receiver that were on these stands and they were snug but fit fine through these stands. Hope that helps as I would assume they'd fit with what you're going to use them with without any issues if using the speaker wire that came with those vizio speakers it's probably very thin. Question is will these stands work for your application as these stands were specifically designed with screw mounting to definitive speakers using their stands. If looking for a generic stand for vizio speakers you might want to look at sanus speaker stands for generic applications......Drew [ ANDREW Sep 24, 2014 ]
Yes you can feed the wires through post. [ LUKE Sep 24, 2014 ]
