Designed to match Definitive's StudioMonitor 45, StudioMonitor 55, and StudioMonitor 65 bookshelf speakers, these stands feature sturdy all-metal construction. They come with wire guides to help you cleanly route wire to the speaker. You also get rubber feet to protect hardwood floors and floor spikes for extra stability on plush carpets.

I wanted to find speaker stands that would work best for my speakers. I couldn't be happier with them. Just some advice..don't use the eight screws they give you to screw into your speakers, very bad idea. Mine stay on the stand just fine..no need for screws.
Pros: Great fit & look.
This stand is well made with black powder coated finish. The stands have good weight to them. My only complaint isn't even the stands fault, it's definitive tech's fault, and that is the plate that the speaker sits on is not made specifically made for the SM-55 (which has a depth of 12 3/8") while the large plate has a depth of 9 3/16") leaving overhang on the front and/or rear of the stand. The width of the plate is perfect for the SM-55s. Overall I am very happy with the construction and look of the stands.
Pros: Great look Great construction
Cons: Not an exact fit got the new Studio Monitor line (SM55/65) speakers
Purchased these to replace a pair of el-cheapo stands and the DefTech's are an improvement. The included smaller / larger top plates make it easier to accommodate different size speakers. These look great with my Definitive Technology Studio Monitor 55's. Wire management is simple. If you want to hide the wires drill holes in the top and bottom of the tube or buy something else! My only "complaint" is mine have a bit of wobble using the carpet spikes, but still a great improvement over the cheaper ones these replaced. Not a serious issue. Happy with my purchase.
Pros: solid, easy to assemble. The included extra larger / smaller top plates provide placement of a wider variety of bookshelf speakers.
Cons: May require adjustments using carpet spikes.
These stands are a good height for audio rooms where you are sitting in a chair. Easy to assemble. Wire control is two plastic stays on the back of the pole. Comes with two difference size top metal stands to allow for small and fairly large monitors
Pros: Strong construction Carpet spikes included Wire stays to guide wires down back of pole
Cons: Small rubber like pads to stick on top, wish they were a bit larger
Wasn't expecting the only attachment method to be with a screw. Hadn't read any of the previous comments before buying and probably wouldn't have changed my mind. But, I agree with what "JB, Wichita" wrote previously...
Cons: The top is slightly larger than the width of the Def Tech 65's
Used with Definitive SM45's. Good heavy duty stands with good base weight, All Steel construction. Would have given 5 stars if there were better means of attaching the speaker to the stand. They only provide wood screws and there was no place on the speaker to drive them. Bought some Velcro and that seems to anchor them pretty well.
Pros: All steel construction, heavy base plate, stable platform.
Cons: Only long (2.5") wood screws provided for speaker anchorage.
Great well built stands. I have been looking for stands to hold my Monitor Audio Bx2 speakers and these fit perfectly! Easy to assemble and look great.
Pros: Well built, great looking, big enough for large bookshelf speakers
A very attractive and stable speaker stand. Actually a little heavier than I thought they would be. Very easy to put together. I used locktite blue just to make sure vibration wouldn't loosen anything up. They arrived in great condition, no issues with shipping or packaging. These stands have a look that sets them apart from the other cookie cutter stands you see. These also mate up PERFECTLY to the Definitive Technology Studio Monitor series. I have the model 450 studio monitors, the base fits them perfectly and hold them securely. The indentations for the feet on the speakers line up exactly right. Makes a powerful statement to see them on the stands and this puts them at perfect height for listening. You can get others, but get these and get it right the first time!
Pros: Perfect fit and finish, they work amazing with the Studio Monitor line of speakers. The look is amazing, very modern and very sleek
Cons: they could benefit from better speaker wire concealment
My concern before ordering was stability. These stands are solidly balanced and were easy to assemble. My one and only disappointment is an inadequate wire restraining system. Wires are not contained so are visible and unkept looking.
Pros: Simple unassuming appearance. Well balanced.
Cons: Inadequate wire maintenance system.
I bought two pairs of these stands, and I am very happy with my purchase. Not only are these stands stylish but also they are well-made. These Definitive Technology stands definitely outshine my other stands. By the way, I don't own Definitive Technology speakers, but these stands are perfect for my speakers.
Pros: Quality construction and great contemporary styling.
Cons: Could have been packed better by manufacturer, but Crutchfield was great about replacing one of the damaged posts.
I ordered these because a friend had a pair for his Def Tech bookshelf speakers. The stands arrived expeditiously and well packaged. I already knew what to expect as far as quality. They are first rate stands. The only thing I will gripe about is the fact that one of them sits with it's speaker stand surface just slightly crooked. It's not a big deal... I placed a foam pad under the actual speaker so when you look at it you can't really notice it's not 100 percent straight. Not a big enough issue to return them, still, slightly annoying. But that aside, overall I'm happy with the product
Pros: Well made. Holds speakers of considerable weight without fear of toppling over. Nice design - looks cool
Cons: Top plate doesn't sit exactly flush on one stand. Slight annoyance
Stands make my SM 65's look great and sound even more awesome than they already were. Perfect height, minimalist look, to me, make a winning combination. I am taking away a star for not being able to bolt the speakers into the stand, which of course would make it more secure, however they are almost the perfect size so it doesn't matter too awfully much, just would have made me feel better. Having the wire running behind instead of inside the stands doesn't bother me because my cables are fairly thick so running them inside might have been a pain. All in all I'm glad I got these! I recommend them.
Pros: Perfect height, minimalist look makes the speakers look even better.
Cons: Cannot secure the speakers directly into the stands.
Very nice looking stand. Heavy weight making it very sturdy, easy to assemble.
Pros: Looks, sturdiness and price. 2 difference size mounting plates.
Cons: Wish wiring could be hidden inside stand.
A great, all steel, black painted, stand with a choice of stand platforms to use.. Heavy, angled, and the right height to send the sound to you at about ear level when seated.. There are cable attachments on the back of the vertical stand piece to attach your speaker cable to, so it doesn't just hang down.. These are typical of any Definitive Technology product - just perfect !
Pros: Heavy, solid wide base, not going to tip over.. Can hold a Studio Monitor Series Speaker perfectly Have clips down the back of the vertical pieces to help hide the cable Crutchfield did a great job of getting these to me quickly and damage free !
Cons: None !
Stand itself is a 5 star. However, the pole is not matched. I had to return the first order and I had to select the matching pole with the second order
Pros: excellent stand. very sturdy and well built.
Cons: mismatched pole in the package
I got a set to use on a pair of DT StudioMonitor 55 bookshelf speakers. The stands are well made, sturdy, heavy and easy to assemble, comes with the option of "spike" or "rubber" feet for installation over either carpet. or hardwood. Very stable. The top plataform is a tad shallow for the deep StudioMonitor 55, but still supports about 80% of the speaker's depth. And the width is just about perfect match. My only concern is the way it secures the speakers. It comes with 4 wood screws to screw into the speakers from the bottom. No way I would drill holes into my new speakers. Instead I may get superduty velcro to keep them in place. DT could have easily pre-installed threaded holes at the base of the speakers for easy bolt on installation (just like the do with the bases of their subwoofers). Also, the speaker wire runs behind the stand post, instead of inside of it. So it's visible from the side. Not very clean.
Pros: Sturdy, good looking speaker stand. Great match for the StudioMonitor speakers
Cons: Speaker wires run BEHIND the stands, instead of inside of it. So they are visible from the side. Also, in order to secure the speakers to the stands, you would need to drill wood screws into the base of the speakers. Not really the stand's fault but the speakers'. But since both are made by DT and the stands are specifically made for these series of speakers, they should have made it a straight bolt on system. So I don't see the benefit of buying this set over a set of aftermarket ones.
Very we'll made, sturdy and stable. They look fantastic and fit well. I received my order in 3 short days, Crutchfield is awesome!
Pros: Assemble easy and look great
Just an average speaker stand
Pros: Heavy and stable

Hope that helps. [ Kenny Jul 19, 2016 ] Staff
These were designed specifically for a few of the Definitive Technology speakers, so we don't have an exact weight rating on them. I did some checking though, and the heaviest of the speakers they were designed for comes in at 22 pounds each. [ Jeff Sep 10, 2015 ] Staff
