You've just filled your shopping cart with a gorgeous set of skinny on-wall speakers for the front of your room...but what about the back? The compact XTR-20BP surround speaker perfectly matches Definitive's award-winning XTR series speakers, so you can enjoy the same ultra-shallow speaker look for your entire home theater. Plus, this speaker boasts the same rich, realistic sound and wide soundstage as its larger siblings.
State-of-the-art driver design for impressively accurate sound
The XTR-20BP uses two 3-1/2" XTDD drivers angled in opposite directions to broaden the midrange dispersion, creating a diffuse soundfield that will envelope you in the on-screen action. These shallow drivers optimize every part of the speaker surface to maintain a high level of performance. At the center of the baffle is the same pure aluminum dome tweeter used in Definitive's flagship speakers. It produces extended highs, revealing nuance and shimmer without a trace of edginess.
Building an XTR system
The XTR-20BP's enclosure is made of black hand-polished aluminum for a sleek look that'll go well with most modern décors. It comes with an easy-to-use wall mount bracket that gives it a mounted depth of just 2-9/16". It also comes with a convenient base for when you want to use it on a shelf or table. Put together a complete home theater system using XTR-40, XTR-50, or XTR-60 speakers for your front three channels. Then use the XTR-20BPs for surround channel duties, and you'll be rewarded with spacious and enveloping surround effects. And for high-impact bass, check out these Definitive subwoofers.

Did you know?
Your new speakers will probably sound better after several weeks of use than they do right out of the box. That's because the material surrounding the woofers will loosen up, allowing the drivers to move more fully. Definitive Technology estimates a break-in period of 24 to 48 hours of playback before the speakers will deliver optimum sound quality.
