The NAD DD HDMI-1 Modular Design Construction (MDC) module is designed to complement your NAD C 390DD Direct Digital stereo integrated amplifier, and gives it the capability of switching between three digital video sources. It handles full 3D signals and video resolutions up to 1080/60p. And on the audio side, these ports pass stereo signals of up to 24-bit/192 kHz resolution. Adding this module will help your C 390DD to handle video as elegantly as it handles audio, increasing its value and utility as the heart of your entertainment system.
Important note: The installation of MDC modules should be handled by an NAD authorized dealer or an authorized NAD service center. This is not intended to be a user installed accessory.

NAD DD HDMI-1 Reviews
What's in the box?
- HDMI upgrade module (for NAD C390DD)
- 2 Screws
Modular Design Construction: The advantages of a pure digital system are many, but one drawback is the constantly changing delivery formats for digital content. Each of these formats typically requires specialized hardware and software, often with licensed IP and content copy protection. For this reason, NAD places all digital interface circuitry on easily upgradable modules. NAD calls this 'Modular Design Construction' or 'MDC'.
DD HDMI-1 HDMI Module: The NAD DD HDMI-1 is a HDMI upgrade module for the NAD C 390DD direct digital integrated amplifier (745C390DD, sold separately). The DD HDMI-1 offers three HDMI inputs and one output with video pass through. This opens up the possibility of using the C 390DD as the heart of a "Video 2.0" system using the mandatory two-channel linear PCM soundtrack (up to 24-bit/192kHz) from Blu-ray or DVD to make a compelling two-channel high definition theatre presentation. Many Symphony Orchestras and some specialty music labels are also released in HD recordings on Blu-ray or DVD. The DD HDMI-1 is 1080p & 3D video compatible, but there is no surround sound decoding or video processing.
Note: This module should be installed by a NAD-authorized dealer or service center; not intended to be a user-installed accessory.
