Here's a chance to get a great deal on Bowers & Wilkins headphones. These factory-refurbished P5 on-ear headphones have undergone rigorous testing to ensure they meet Bowers & Wilkins' strict quality standards for both sonic performance and mechanical integrity. They're repacked in special packaging, complete with all documentation. Best of all, they come with a full 2-year factory warranty, so you can buy them with confidence.
Whether you're riding to work, traveling cross country, or just relaxing at home, the P5 Mobile Hi-Fi headphones from Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) will bring you closer to your favorite music. Nothing but pure, natural, detailed sound without any of the "amped up" boomy bass or sizzly treble you often hear with other headphones. That's because B&W, whose professional monitor speakers are found in some of the world's finest recording studios, designed the P5s to reproduce the sound of the original recording as accurately as possible.
The P5s don't look like any other headphones, either. Functional yet refined, they're crafted from aluminum, polished stainless steel, and leather — you won't find any plastic on these babies. Their soft, sheepskin-padded earcups use memory foam to conform to the shape of your ears for hours of listening comfort. The noise-isolating, closed-back design keeps the outside world where it belongs while allowing just enough ambient sound in to keep you in touch with your surroundings. And because the noise reduction is passive, no batteries or active electronics are ever needed.
A remote built into the headphone cable lets you conveniently control music playback without having to dig your iPod or iPhone out of your pocket. You can even take calls on your iPhone hands-free, thanks to the in-line microphone. (See "Details" below, for a list of compatible iPods and iPhones.) The removable headphone cord attaches to just one earcup, so you won't have to deal with tangles. And the earcups fold flat to fit nicely in the supplied storage case.
From the review Bowers & Wilkins P5 headphones -- substance and style
"They were light enough for on-the-go listening with my iPod, and they did a fine job when I was ready for a serious listening session at home. Not everyone can afford a specialized set of headphones for every application (me neither). The Bowers & Wilkins P5 headphones may be made for the iPod and iPhone, but I think they're a good all-purpose choice for whatever type of listening you do — and you'll look incredibly cool wearing them, too."

Insanely good for the price. Build and sound quality are exceptional. I mainly use with a Pono player and hi-res sounds hi-res, as intended.
Pros: Build and sound quality. Compact, easy to travel with. Trial subscription to Society of Sound a nice bonus. Very high quality phones. My "home" phones are Audeze and I do not cringe when switching to these.
Great looking headset, buidl quality is unmatched. Decent sound isolation. Nice punchy bass, with clear slightly recessed mids, and slightly rolled off treble. Great for most portable applications and some moderately serious listening sessions.
Pros: Beautiful to look at
I love these. They may not be the absolute best sounding headphones available at any price. For the price, they are very nice. The sound is excellent, the build is excellent, they do a great job of blocking outside sound, and the leather feels so good.
Pros: Everything about them is first class.
My P5 is a solid 5 Stars. I tested this product against another top headset and without question, the P5 was unmatched. The db ratio is outstanding. You better have top notch recordings or the P5 will let you know.
Pros: Sound quality.
Cons: No blue tooth capability.
The ability to buy a factory refurbished P5 is why I afforded this purchase. And, it was well worth the expense. Sound is full and clear with decent bass. The comfort is great. This might be because these headphones have been used, but there was no break-in period as with other headphones I have purchased. Their compact size makes them highly portable for a traveler. Their direct delivery of sound and on ear design act as a good barrier for external noise. In short the P5's are a highly recommendable headphone.
Pros: Sound, build quality, comfort, and cost at the price point of a factory refurbished item. Warrantee is two years.
Cons: None for its type size and style.
These P5's are amazing. The sound clear and ture even without a headphone amp. The fit and finish is the best I've ever seen and you don't look ridiculous wearing them. I only gave noise reduction 4 stars because I can still hear stuff going on in the background when I wear them at the office. To be fair, my office is pretty noisy though.
Pros: Looks great, sounds great quality build.
Cons: Not perfect noise reduction, but the are great as far as non-noise cancelation headphones go.
Excellent pair of phones for the lister who like there music clean and not over powering in any areas with respect to bass, treble, mids.
Cons: For some there may not seem to be enough boom but for critical listener it is just right.
These are not the cheapest headphones. And yes, part of that price does go toward the B&W name. But B&W has created a name for itself for a reason. These headphones are superbly constructed. Not a hint of plastic. Soft sheep's leather on the ear pads and headbands. Sleek metal frame. But unfortunately, my P5s are on their way back to Crutchfield. I bought these for when I travel and want to use them for a stretch of 3-4 hours. Though comfortable at first, after about half an hour the pressure on my ears made it impossible to continue using them. So much so that I didn't even bother to bring them along with me after trying them on at home. I should mention that my ears do stick out a bit and that may have contributed to the pain. But at the end of the day, it was just unsuitable for my intended use.
Pros: Beautiful construction. Neutral sound.
Cons: Painful when used for longer periods of time.
