Think of Furman's SS-6B Pro as an inexpensive insurance policy for your equipment. With your gear plugged into its six snug-gripping outlets, the SS-6B Pro will protect your setup from harmful AC power spikes and fluctuations. It also filters out the RF (radio frequency) and electromagnetic interference that can add noise.
The SS-6B Pro's heavy duty metal construction can withstand the rigors of professional stage use. It has an illuminated on/off/reset switch and a built-in circuit breaker. A red LED on the top of the power strip indicates that the circuit breaker has tripped and the unit has protected the connected equipment.
The beefy 14-gauge power cord is 15 feet long, so you won't have to always hunt around for a nearby outlet or mess with extension cords. The wide footprint makes this suppressor great for live sound — it won't tip over on stage like skinnier strips sometimes do.

Furman SS-6B Pro Reviews

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I am using this unit for powering my vintage Pioneer SX-980 receiver (circa 1978-79). Before using this unit, I used al MonsterPower Center which is designed for home theater use, and before that, an ordinary power strip. The speakers that are being driven by this receiver are Pioneer HPM-150s, which need a high amount of current from the amp. My receiver's left and right channels were off balance (right channel stronger than the left channel), also there was distortion coming from the left channel, especially with higher volume levels. When I switched to the MonsterPower unit, I plugged this receiver into the outlet labeled "receiver". The distortion produced by my receiver was horrendous with severe clipping, in both channels. When I reached out to Crutchfield for advice for power management, the representative recommended this unit, so I ordered it. Oh...my...gosh!!!! What a difference it makes!! My receiver is now producing clean sound with NO distortion and NO balance issue between both channels. Even the super-tweeters on top of each speaker are more pronounced. Also the 15 3/4" woofers produce clean heavy bass when the recording produces it.
Pros: Excellent advice by Crutchfield Unit has a relatively small footprint without an abundance of distracting LEDs. Clean power with surge, as well as RFI protection Inexpensive price point for such a good power conditioner Designed for stage use. Thus the extra long power cord
Cons: Since this is for my home use, a right-angled plug would be more convenient.
