High-performance in-wall sound from the speaker experts at PSB
Got a listening room or home theater where space is at a premium? Or maybe you don't want to risk using traditional free-standing speakers that could easily get toppled by young kids or pets. PSB's carefully designed CW262 may be just the ticket if you need to keep your speakers hidden away in your walls, but you still want effortless, transparent sound. This sophisticated speaker uses a 6-1/2" fiberglass-textured polypropylene woofer to pump out solid mids and bass and a 3/4" metal dome tweeter for crystal-clear highs.
Versatile installation options
The tweeter can be rotated for horizontal mounting, plus the swiveling waveguide lets you aim the sound toward you.
PSB included some handy features for adjusting the sound to match your setup and listening preferences. Take the tweeter, for instance: it's equipped with a waveguide that swings 30 degrees to the left or right, for focusing the sound toward your listening position. And the entire tweeter/waveguide assembly is mounted on a rotating baffle, which means you can install the speaker horizontally or vertically — whatever's best for your room. Treble and midrange adjustment switches let you tweak the speaker's frequency balance to suit your ears. A moisture-resistant design lets you install the CW262 in damp areas like a laundry room or bathroom.

Features
Two-Way Speaker Design: The PSB CW262 high-performance rectangular in-wall speaker utilizes a two-way driver design incorporating a 0.75" metal dome tweeter and a 6.5" woofer with a stiff fiberglass textured polypropylene cone for higher cone mass and enhanced motor strength.
SonicGuide: A unique tweeter waveguide swings 30° left and right (60° total) to aim sonic energy toward the listening area. This SonicGuide is designed for an optimum amount of directivity control and to give consistent response whether aimed straight out or canted full left or right. Secondly this tweeter in its SonicGuide is mounted on a rotating baffle. This gives the ability to mount the system vertically or horizontally at any height on a wall and by turning the baffle and angling the tweeter, aim sound precisely to the listener. This aiming flexibility assures flat frequency response with none of the commonly seen crossover hole issues
Treble/Midrange Level Switches: Two response tailoring switches provide a 3dB adjustment to midrange and tweeter levels.
Basket/Frame: The CW262 has a sturdy ABS basket and frame. The frame can be painted to match any decor (a clear paint mask is supplied to protect the drivers from overspray). The aluminum mesh grille is also paintable.
Speaker Terminals: The PSB CW262 in-wall speaker is fitted with spring-load post speaker terminals to connect your in-wall speaker wire. The spring-post terminals will accept bare wire (up to 12AWG), pin-connectors, and banana plugs (single or dual).
Mounting Options: The PSB CW262 uses an effective mounting technique with toggle-style mounting clamps. These six "dog-leg" style mounting clips insure quick, easy, and secure mounting in the wall. A template is provided for marking the speaker cutout. It has a series of slots for tracing the cutout and also an outline of the speaker to confirm that the flange won't interfere with any wall features. The CW262 requires a cut-out diameter of 8.5" (w) x 14.3125" (h) with a mounting dept of 3.625". There needs to be at least 0.5625" of space around the cut-out to accommodate the in-wall speaker's overall frame. The speaker's frame and grille will sit 0.4375" away from the wall.
Note: For the new construction application, PSB offers Performance Enclosure and Preconstruction Bracket solutions (both sold separately by manufacture). The Performance Enclosure provides optimal low frequency response and is mounted between two studs behind drywall. The Pre-construction Brackets simplify installation in new construction application and can be used with or without the Performance Enclosure.

I bought 5 of them, one arrived defective (tweeter didn't work). Other than that I'm very please with these speakers. Make sure you have a high powered receiver, they require a lot of power to drive.
