Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Crutchfield offered this fort-fit case for 1 cent when ordering the Garmin GPS and it's good to have. Leaving the unit on the dash can attract unwanted attention, but removing the unit is easy and carrying it in the case works well.

Pros: Fits well.

Cons: none.

Nice Case for my Garmin 2555LMT

Written by: Brian from NW Ohio on July 17, 2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this case for my Garmin 2555LMT which has a 5" screen. The case is perfect. Zips up so the gps is completely protected, and just the right size, actually a snug almost custom fit for the unit. The outside is a micro-fiber, suede-like material and on the interior the attached screen wipe is a nice little extra.

Simple design scores points

Written by Ralph Graves, Staff Writer - Creative, on 8/10/2012 3:36:00 PM

This is a simple case, but it's well thought-out. I've tried inexpensive cases, and their interiors aren't always kind to touchscreens. Having a microfiber cloth to product the screen is a great idea — and so is having it permanently attached. That's the kind of thing that easily gets lost in our car.

I was a little surprised that the zipper didn't go all the way around so the case could open up like a book. But after trying it out for a while, I realized it wasn't necessary. It opens far enough to easily slip a GPS unit in and out of the case, and that's fine.

One thing I really liked was the stiffness of the case. It's not enough to prevent damage if you put the thing in your back pocket and sat down. But it will hold up to the stresses the case (and the GPS inside it) are submitted to in a purse, backpack, or jacket pocket.
