Buying a case for your lenses is one of those investments that's just good common sense. Odds are that your lens represents a solid investment on your part in the quality of your photography. What's more, good lenses generally hold on to a significant portion of their initial value, and some actually increase in value as time goes on. If you're planning on taking your lenses for a spin now and again (and what photographer isn't?), they need the sturdy protection a Lowepro lens case can provide. A thoughtful SlipLock tab helps attach it to belts, bags, and a variety of loops. A mesh pocket inside the lid gives you a safe place to stash your lens cap — great for times when you can't find a lint-free pocket. And the dual zippers with overlap construction help keep dust and moisture away from your treasured glass.

This case fits wide-aperture, telephoto lenses similar to an image-stabilized 300mm. Actual case interior dimensions are 13cm x 32cm.

Protect your investment

There's nothing like a case designed to do a job, and do that job well. The Lowepro lens case has plenty of padding to keep a telephoto lens from getting jostled, even when it's knocked about. I like having handles on both sides — makes it easier to grab and go. And that is some heavy-duty Velcro on the attachment tab. I really had to work to get it loose, so I'm sure it will stay fastened to a belt, no matter what (and having an extra strap securing it doesn't hurt, either). I also appreciate the dual zippers on the lid. In theory, I could pop a little lock on that. It wouldn't make the case totally secure, but it might help me feel a little better walking through a crowd.
