Our take on the Lowepro Event Messenger 250

by Woody Sherman
Lowepro

The handsome Lowepro Event Messenger 250 bag will carry your DSLR kit in style, while keeping everything safe and conveniently at hand. It can easily house your entire DSLR with attached lens, plus several extra lenses and a flash unit. And that's with plenty left over for associated accessories. An additional padded compartment securely protects your favorite laptop computer, up to 13 inches in size.

The padded shoulder strap lends solid comfort when you're fully loaded up. And the Dual-Mode Flap allows you to configure the kit for silent access (no hook and loop closure) or maximum security (hook and loop tabs engaged).

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this for my Panasonic G5 and two extra lenses. It holds those and my Macbook Air with all the cords, etc. I've had it for awhile and so far I really like it a lot.
Pros:
Seems to be of extremely good quality and a good size for what I carry.
Cons:
Can't think of any.

Lowepro Event Messenger 250

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I recently took this bag on a week-long photo trip and used it to carry my Nikon D7000 with a 200mm telephoto attached plus a wide-angle lens and a 50mm prime. It also carried my iPad, chargers for everything, and misc camera gear, cheat sheets, cellphone and pens. I found the bag nearly ideal for my needs, which included frequently removing (and replacing) my camera and switching lenses.
Pros:
Configurable, accessible, plenty of space, decent shoulder pad, durable fabric, zippers/clasps easy to get at, expandable outside pockets for water bottle or securing loose lens caps.
Cons:
Handle is not at the center of gravity. No way to fasten a tripod.
