Our take on the Center Stage Bracket CSB-3006-BLK

If you've got a slender sound bar speaker, here's a great way to mount it neatly and cleanly on top of your flat-panel TV without drilling holes in your wall. The CSB-3006-BLK speaker shelf attaches directly to the top of your TV, and provides a stable spot for your sound bar. You can free up space on your component rack, or wall-mount your TV and do away with the rack entirely.

This shelf is designed for sound bar speakers with a maximum depth of 6". Thick rubber caps at the end of the legs tighten against your TV to keep the shelf securely in place. You can also adjust the mounting screws to angle the speaker down towards your listening position for better sonic performance. The top plate of the shelf is fitted with a foam strip on the bottom to protect the finish on your TV, and comes with a non-slip mat to keep the speaker from sliding around.

Overview: Center Stage Brackets were developed to meet the growing demand for brackets that would allow consumers to place soundbar speakers and center channel speakers on top of flat-panel LCD, LED, and Plasma television displays.

High-Grade Aluminum Construction: The Center Stage Bracket is constructed of high-grade aluminum and used adjustable steel hardware. It is available in a power coated gloss-black finish. Each bracket is outfitted with a protective foam strip (which protects the television) and comes with a non-slip mat to keep your center speaker securely in place and free from damage or sliding.

Low-Profile Design: This low-profile model (CSB-300-BLK-Soundbar) is designed to accommodate television installations in nearly any home theater setup which are freestanding or wall-mounted. This model is suited for large-sized speakers (such as soundbars) which have a maximum depth of 6-inches and weigh up to 40 lbs.

Center Channel/Soundbar Application: The Center Stage Bracket is suited for a wide range of speakers and televisions. The Center Stage Bracket allows speakers to be easily and quickly  mounted on top of modern flat-panel televisions that are freestanding. The Center Stage Bracket is aesthetically pleasing and allows the center channel speaker or soundbar to be placed in an optimal position without damage to the television.

Note: This model can also be used with smaller home theater systems where the left, center and right speakers can all be placed on top of the television.

Component Application: The Center Stage Bracket is also very effective at holding various audio/video components on top of flat-panel televisions and computer monitors including Blue-ray players, DVD players, satellite receivers, and cable boxes. In addition, the Center Stage Bracket can be used with Web cams for video conferencing rooms or personal computers.

Installation: The Center Stage Bracket features a low-profile design that is easy to install. It universally mounts on top of most flat-panel televisions that are freestanding. The Center Stage Bracket features a top plate with a protective foam strip that rests on the top of your flat-panel television, and three adjustable leg supports which clamp to the back of your flat-panel TV for an easy and secure installation. A non-slip mat is provided to place over the top plate to keep your center-channel speaker from sliding.

This little shelf allowed me to put my center speaker on top of my Pioneer plasma TV. It was
easy to assemble and set up so that the speaker has a slight downward tilt toward my
seating area. The shelf's dimensions are a perfect match for my speaker (Monitor Audio
Radius 250). I'm very happy with it.

My problem had been that I needed somewhere to mount a sound bar speaker but had nowhere to do so: my available space is very limited. The Center Stage Speaker Shelf did the trick by allowing me to place the speaker on top of my flat panel TV.

The support legs can be mounted & adjusted to fit pretty well any depth of TV and it did not take me long to get everything centered and straight. A spirit level comes in handy here to get the shelf horizontal front-rear. Make sure you use the supplied non-slip mat to stop the speaker sliding around.

Once in place the shelf is very unobtrusive, when viewed from the front, and it forms a good solid base for the speaker.

Recommended.

I recently moved into my lady's house and decided to hang my 40" LED on the wall in her bedroom. For years, I have used a set of BOSE Acoustimas 9's to provide sound in the bedroom (BOSE is complete JUNK, but they were a gift and free is free). Anyway, I purchased this shelf to hold the front 3x BOSE cubes. For this use, the shelf is perfect. We plan to move soon and I didn't want to mess with mounting the cubes to the wall/fishing wires through. This setup allowed me to simply to run the speaker cable through the same hole as the video cables.

FYI, on a newer LED panel, I am not sure that I would trust this shelf to hold a large center speaker (like a Boston Acoustics VR12 or VS325C (both of which I own)) even thought it is rated for up to 40 lbs. An older (thicker) LCD or Plasma would likely be a safer bet.

Additionally, if you are wall mounting and do not have the tv panel angled downward, the 6" of depth could be an issue.

Finally, aesthetically this unit does leave something to be desired. It is functional, but not pretty. If it were a little more slick looking, I would have likely given it 5 stars. If your goal is to hold a sound bar or a set of bose (or other brand of sat speakers), this is a decent low cost solution for you.

Visual design (especially from the side) not ideal for newer LED tv's... Better for older LCD/Plasma rubber mat does not lie completely flat

The overall length of this shelf is great for placing a large (long) center channel speaker
above a flat panel TV. All materials are of good quality. One issue with this shelf, however,
is that it doesn't fit too well over TVs greater than 3 1/2 to 4 inches thick. To install this shelf
on top of a 55" Sony Bravia, I had to remove the rubber tips on each of the three brackets.
It barely fit. The manufacturer should have angled the brackets a bit more to accommodate
larger panels. Otherwise, the shelf securely supports a center channel speaker above a flat
panel TV. Recommended.
