Piggy-back your battery to extend shooting time

When I'm traveling with a regular camera, I always have a second battery handy, so I can swap one out to charge up while still shooting. When you're out in the field with your GoPro HERO3+ or HERO4, you won't have that luxury. The GoPro Battery BacPac solves that problem by piggy-backing on the battery that's already in the camera, adding battery power to your camera, which adds to the time you can be out there recording yourself surfing, climbing, skiing or whatever you like to do. It's also a handy way to extend battery life for time-lapse shooting over longer periods.

Features

Overview: The Battery BacPac is an add-on battery for select GoPro cameras. It simply plugs into the back of the camera via the proprietary Hero Port. The Battery BacPac works along with the camera's battery to significantly increase battery life. This is particularly helpful when you are shooting in areas where charging or swapping out batteries is difficult or impossible.

Mounting: Many of the GoPro cameras have a proprietary Hero Port on the back. The Battery BacPac is the same width and height as the camera, and seamlessly attaches via the Hero Port. The package comes with back doors that work with the standard waterproof housing supplied with the camera. A Standard BacPac Backdoor and a Skeleton BacPac Backdoor (for better audio) are included. When not in use, you can store the BacPac in the supplied plastic case.

Compatibility: The Battery BacPac is compatible with the Hero4 Black, Hero4 Silver, Hero3+, and Hero3 cameras that are equipped with the Hero Port.

Note: The Battery BacPac will cover the LCD Touch Screen on the Hero4 Silver when installed.

Specifications/Charging: The Battery BacPac is a 3.8-volt, 1240 mAh Lithium-Ion battery. It can be charged with most standard USB chargers, including the GoPro Auto Charger and Wall Charger, or your computer using the supplied USB cable. An LCD window displays the battery level or charging status. An LED light displays the camera's recording status.
