A bit expensive, sound quality is above average. The wires get tangled up together rather easily.

Pros: Sound quality and fit. Great for riding with a half helmet. Right earphone has a red band so you get it right the first time.

Cons: Wires tangle easily. To expensive, No use for the left earbuds phone answering switch.

Great all around

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I love these headphones. The sound is very balanced and articulate, with a little extra bass response. There is a very fine line between too much bass and too little with in-ear type headphones, and these get it just right. I have owned many in-ear phones from many different manufactures ranging in price from $50 to $150, and the Nuforce NE-700M and 700X are by far my favorite. The Nuforce earpieces are comfortable, and the fit is perfect for my ears. I have had a lot of trouble with the fit of other designs, and none at all with these. The particular rubber material that the ear tips are made out of grips to form a nice, very comfortable seal that stays put. If you've given up on in-ear headphones because you haven't been able to find a comfortable fit with other designs, you might want to give these a try. The driver housings are nicely constructed and are a bit lager than the competition, but not bulky when inserted. I've owned 3 pair of the 700Xs, which are identical in construction but without the microphone/controller, and I can say that the drivers hold up very well. I bought the 700Ms when my last pair of 700Xs failed due to a break in the wire at the plug (my fault), and Crutchfield was sold out of the 700Xs. I have an iphone, so the microphone is useful, but as other reviewers have mentioned, it doesn't include volume controls. It's also cylindrical, so it takes a little fiddling to find the single button action. This is not really a big problem though.

Pros: Really nice, refined sound. Just the right amount of base. No-nonsense earpiece design that fits and fits comfortably. Solid driver housing. Stylish without being gaudy or trendy. The cable insulation resists tangling and doesn't transmit vibrations to the earpieces like many designs. The cable is a good length.

Cons: The mic/controller is missing volume controls and is a bit difficult to use. There are little ridges to guide you where to push to activate the single button, but it's hard to feel and it takes me 2 or 3 seconds each time I want to pause or pick up a call. Not a big deal though, and otherwise, it works fine. I wish the point where the cable connects to the plug were a little more robust, but that's the case with all such headphones.

Good stuff.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I use these headphones mainly with my iPod on the go, but also with my Creative X-fi USB DAC on my pc. While writing this I am listening to a bit of classical/bluegrass/celtic fusion. Overall construction is very nice, the metal casings being very solid and the several sizes of rubber tips snap on nicely. The cord is pretty standard, but with a nice half metal half plastic encased divider where it splits in to two. The remote isn't as great as some I've used. One button to pause, skip forward, and reverse. Always find myself fiddling with it a bit. Plug is gold plated which is a plus, not many at this price range offer this. Overall, build quality is very good, I am not afraid to stuff them in my pocket on the go (untangling is often fun), although they do include a small carry bag, I don't find myself using it. Now on to sound quality... Frequency response is wide and predominantly full, the only hole I can hear is somewhere around 1khz, but really nothing outstanding, and nothing that can't be compensated for in EQ settings. Bass response is supprisingly strong from about 40hz and up, obviously dynamic but at the same time not too punchy. Mid range is well presented, some minor EQ adjustments required. Highs are fantastic. Very clear and crisp. Soundstage and imaging are wonderful as well. You will hear things never heard before in your music. Overall, absoloutely worth the money, and Crutchfield, the best place to buy!

Pros: Sound quality is excelent for the price. Isolation is also good, letting though minimal sound and only at certain frequencies.

Cons: The only complaint I have about them is the cord. Very standard, the same as you might find on a $10 set. But don't let it deter you.
