Overview Details Staff Reviews Customer Reviews Category Info Our take on the Nuforce NE-700X by Dave Bar The NuForce NE-700X in-ear monitors don't cost a fortune, but they sure look and sound like they do. These sleek little silver bullets deliver surprising levels of detail and refinement that you don't normally expect to find in such modestly priced headphones. Their solid machined aluminum housings help resist performance-robbing vibration and resonance, while providing added durability and a premium-quality feel. Wide-range titanium-coated drivers provide lots of sparkle, with spacious soundstaging and surprising transparency. From the clear, open reverberation of a brass cymbal to the deep, rolling thunder of a powerful bass run, you'll hear your music with new-found realism and clarity. An impressive audio bargain! Features Wide-Range Drivers: The NuForce NE-700X in-ear headphones feature wide-range drivers (8mm) encased in machined aluminum chassis designed to minimize vibration and resonance. The drivers' titanium-coating delivers an exceptionally clear, extended bass, and distortion-free holographic imaging. Sound Isolation Eartips: The NuForce NE-700X includes 6 pair of silicone single-flanged eartips. Multiple eartip sizes (S/M/L) provide a perfect fit to seal out noise. 54" Headphone Cable: The NE-700X features an attached 54" two-sided round headphone cable. Note: To reduce rustling noise due to cord or eartip movement while jogging or walking, loop the cable around the ear (from front to back). 3.5mm Connector: The NuForce NE-700X's headphone cable is terminated by a straight male 3.5mm connector that is compatible with most portable audio players. The 3.5mm connector is gold-plated for excellent signal transfer. Clothing Clip: A clothing clip is included to attach the headphones to your shirt, pants, or backpack. The clothing clip comes pre-installed on the headphone cord (but can be removed). Carrying Pouch: The NE-700X comes with a cloth carrying pouch to store the headphones when not in use. Product reviews from the Crutchfield Labs Product reviews from the Crutchfield Labs (what are the Labs?) Quick impressions from the Lab Quick impressions from the Lab Comment by Ralph Graves Staff Writer - Creative, Written by Ralph Graves, Staff Writer - Creative, on 12/29/2011 10:29:00 AM I admit I had my doubts about these headphones. They were so small, I wasn't sure they would stay in my ears (I'm used to in-ear headphones with earclips). I needn't have worried. The Nuforce NE-700X earbuds were so lightweight there was never any danger of them slipping out. I was very impressed with the sound. Although it's tightly focused, I still heard a lot of detail in my music. The NE-700X's fit (relatively) deep inside my ear canals, and formed an effective seal against ambient noise. I could keep the levels low on my player and still enjoy my music with plenty of volume and presence. All in all, a very nice set of portables. Because they did such a good job sealing out sound, I wouldn't use them for running outside, but in the gym? You bet! After I ordered the Monster Jamz and had to send them back twice because they arrived broken both times, I began a pretty extensive search of headphones online and found these little gems. All I can say its that I love these things. The sound is great. I listen to a WIDE vairety of music. Rock, Pop, Classical, even a small bit of country now and then. These things let me hear stuff I have never heard before in my music and I have found myself pulling out stuff I haven't listend to in a long time just to hear it again with this "fresh" point of view. I think that you will be hard pressed to find a better performance for under $150. At this price, they are well worth every penny. Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. These headphones blow away all headphones I have had in the past. The noise canceling feature is great (especially for flights). The bass is full but not overpowering. I listen to almost every kind of music...reggae, metal, country, bluegrass, blues, hip hop. They work well with all. The one thing that I haven't gotten used to is the fit. Although there are many rubber earpieces that are included, it is still hard to keep the headphones securely in your ears. You definitely will not be able to be very active with these. The kind of just sit in your ear. Maybe someone knows something I don't. Overall, I would recommend these to anyone, especially for the price. 4 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 4 out of 5 Bang for your Buck! Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. Amazing sound for this price; and for you iPod users like me that work out in a noisy gym, these WILL get your music PLENTY loud enough to get over the din. That really makes me happy! Now, this is my first set of "in-ears" and it may be a typical scenario, but I must tell you that the four different earpieces that are provided DRASTICALLY change the soundstage. While the larger ones sound like "WOW" at first, when the music got to rockin' they created a distortion in my ears at mid-level volume (like where an iPod shuffle is factory set). I was afraid that the right speaker was actually blown at first. Then I put on the smallest of the earpieces and the distortion disappeared, and so did a lot of the sound quality I'm afraid. But then the last set of earpieces worked JUST RIGHT for me. So after an initial scare, I'm very happy with these in-ear phones. I just can't believe the high quality of sound I'm getting here for the money I paid. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
