Q
Supported Sample Rates: Supported sample rates include 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, and 192 kHz. This DAC is compatible with PCM audio signals only. Does this mean that I can source a 192/24 FLAC file from my server and it will now play through SONOS? Sure suggests that this is what it means? Thanks

We have not received any answers from other customers on your question. I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They should be able to help answer your question.

I am still not sure what this product does. Sonos does not play hi res files. Will this play those files from my hard drive via Sonos?

Sadly, it doesn't. You get a message on the Sonos app something like "unable to play. this track wasn't encoded correctly". The product is an external DAC and makes your audio sound a little better. I can tell a bit of a difference. I guess if you were to use the Sonlink with some other setup it would work but the Sonos doesn't support 24 bit audio (hi res files).
